We were looking forward to our stay at Hacienda La Isla especially after reading the website and talking to Jean Pierre on the phone. we had booked two adjoining rooms here for our family of four. This was the most expensive property that we had booked during our trip. Hacienda La Isla is a nice property however it is situated...

We are taking comments very serious and use them as a tool to make our lodge better. Nevertheless, we want to make the following observations on this review 1. All rooms all private telephone, free safe-deposit, hairdryer in the bathroom and a King bed in an overall original colonial design, antiques and amenities. The bathrooms are architectural incorporated in the...

You can expect here a small charming hotel with a limited number of rooms but great service. During the day time we took the opportunity to visit nice things in the area (like the Rain forest national park). In the evening, after an excellent diner we enjoyed sitting outside in front of our room and having the impression to be...

The site used to be a farm, but the husband and wife team who now own it have lovingly turned it into a peaceful little haven for travellers. Half an hour's drive from Sarapiqui and La Selva, but with its own grounds in which guests ar encouraged to roam, it has its own share of wildlife. Delicious meals are taken...

....difficult to find other words than the title. Beautiful hacienda with nice garden en surroundings. Very cosy atmosphere. Only +/- 10 rooms. Really high standard kitchen. A nice place in the Sarapiqui-area to stay one or two nights when you are travelling from Arenal or San José to the Caribbean coast. The Braulio Carrillo Park is at only 10 minutes...

We highly recommend this lodge. The rooms are spacious, clean and very nice decorated. You have our own terrace to look at the birds and hear the monkeys. At night we had a great dinner while we looking at a cayman who was looking at us. The owner is a very friendly and helpful man. We really enjoyed our stay!

The location and surroundings of this idyllic place Costa Rica is beyond expectations. The Hacienda is located in the forest. Very simple taste full furnished accommodation with private veranda and sitting area. There is a buffet for meals. They are served in an open porch located on a pond. The owner gives his guests plenty of personal attention. Hacienda La...

The reception was very welcoming. The owner had a lot to tell about his accomodation, about its origin. The hotel property is very beautiful, developed with respect for nature. We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were perfect: athmosphere, colours. Every room had its own identity.

My friend and I went in October to Hacienda La Isla. We have seen a lot of hotels and lodges in Costa Rica, but we think this one is one the nicest. The lodge was clean and beautiful, our view was excellent, and the dinner tasted real good. It is a very romantic place to stay and we can really...

On arrival we discovered to be the only guests. But despite that we were the only guests both Jean-Piere and his wife stood ready for us when we needed them. They cooked lovely dishes and helped us with the reservation of the Canopy tours. Besides the good service the hotel is situated in a beautiful are of rainforest en replanted...

The first thing we noticed at our arrival was the hospitality of the owner and staff. We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the 'hacienda ', who shortly explained the history and possibilities of his and his wife's hotel. We were very surprised by the high standards of our lodge. It was very clean, had a king size bed,...
