We returned to Silver Ridge for the fifth or sixth in early July to be greeted by Claire and Paul in their usual very warm and friendly way. And of course, cake and tea! We had a great break finding places to visit we hadn't visited before, even on the day it rained. So nice to come back to a clean and bright room (we had the twin room) at the end of our day, with loverly views over the garden. We don't have anything to say we haven't said before, all very good! Just a great place and lovely people. We hope to be back in Derbyshire before too long Marlene and John, Surrey
Claire & Paul run a beautiful B & B, their attention to detail is second to none. the breakfast was amazing, locally sourced bacon and sausages, fresh fruit and vegetables, all home grown. The bread, jam and marmalade were also homemade. On arrival we were given tea and fruit cake delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for this couple, even ringing to make a reservation at a local pub for our evening meal. Would definitely recommend this B & B, and hope to return when we are next in the area.Thank you both so much really enjoyed the weekend. Neil and Dena Spence.
My wife and I stayed at Silver Ridge Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights in July as the second part of 4 night break in The Peak District. We stayed in The Oak Suite on the ground floor, which was large and very luxurious, yet with a nice homely feel. Claire and Paul are lovely hosts and made us feel so welcome - they even phoned through our Indian takeaway order from the excellent Maazi restaurant in Matlock - thanks again George! You can eat your takeaway in the guest dining room overlooking the garden. Claire's breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the whole day, we particularly enjoyed the stewed fruit, homemade bread, jam and marmalade. Also, Claire gave us great advice on things to do on a rainy day! We had such a wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back.
We have just got home from a totally relaxing stay at Silver Ridge. This is a top class B&B with many special touches. Claire and Paul are wonderful hosts who are very focussed on pleasing all guests. The breakfast was delicious and I would highly recommend the homemade fruits made by Claire- is there nothing that woman can't make. They where very helpful with giving directions, parking tips and local knowledge which is great when you only stay a couple of nights. The room was amazing as were the grounds. A fantastic haven away from home which is well worth a visit if you want relaxation and tranquility with a touch of class.
We stayed in the Oak Suite which is a large bright room with views of the garden. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were offered a much needed cup of tea and a slice of cake. Our hosts, Claire and Paul, made us very welcome and gave us much needed advice on places to visit and how to get there. The room was extremely well equipped, dry clean and very comfortable. We had the full Derbyshire breakfast which was very tasty and included eggs from their own chickens and home made preserves. We would certainly stay there again and will recommended it to friends and family. Thank you again to Claire and Paul.
