This small hotel as a perfect location with nice rooms. A room with lake view is worth the price supplement. The food at restaurant for dinner was great. The breakfast choice was only ok but sitting outside, next to the lake was an amazing start to our day. They have a private parking located a few steps away from the hotel. You can drive up to the front door , check-in, leave your luggage at the room and then go to the parking.

Stayed here just for one night, wish it could have been more. the hotel overlooks the paved area in front of the lake. the views are outstanding especially when there is a slight haze, it looks very romantic. The hotel was very clean and welcoming. we had a small balcony with 2 seats and a table, just right for a bottle of wine and 2 glasses. whilst we were there a fleet of Rolls Royces turned up and parked on the promenade while the driver had an aperitive. as you do. Walking at night is a must and the atmosphere is brilliant. the coloured illuminated penguin's crocodiles snails and wolves were very interesting. stay as long as you can BUT YOU must visit a grooto for lunch or dinner.

Amazing hotel in a perfect location! Our room with a balcony and a view of Lake Maggiore was simply magical. We didn’t do much in Ascona other than soak up the view. I also loved that there’s a free breakfast buffet every morning, though the options were somewhat limited. And for whoever cares, the WiFi was 30 mpbs. Definitely fast and strong enough for everything we needed to do, and we are digital nomads who work remotely and use the Internet for everything! We vowed to come back here regularly because we had such a wonderful time. This is the kind of charming hotel I always dreamed of staying in and it was a wonderful experience to sit out on our balcony and take it all in. This is a place I will go to in my daydreams for years to come.

Great location right on the lake in a pedestrian only area. We had to walk a bit from where we parked but it was worth it. There was quite a heat wave this summer and this was the only hotel on our trip. What a relief! The people were very friendly and helpful.

The Albergo Carcani has an incredible location of the promenade, right in the middle of town. We stayed there between 6th - 8th August, and the weather was perfect. The view is just incredible with our balcony just meters away from the pristine lake. The hotel has got to be one of the nicest (and cleanest) 3 star hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I was blown away...
