This is a grand hotel form the belle époque era, and the Reception, large and comfortable lounge and above all the sumptuous dining room have fantastic grace and style. There is also a large indoor swimming pool, leather chaired library, children’s games room etc. The hotel also has a separate a-la-carte restaurant, but being part of a large group we...

The Victoria appears to be a Kandersteg institution. Established in the year the French decided they didn't want to have a king any more, the hotel appears to have stood untouched by time since then. This shows in its delightful old-world elegance, its excellent location in the town centre and its occasional formality (especially at dinner). The hotel is often...

We stayed here for Christmas 2013 and I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. We felt very welcome and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed the facilities on site, probably the best kids club I have come across with good quality toys/books/arts & crafts etc - not to mention the wonderful staff who my girls loved spending time with. The...

The hotel is very close to train station, views are brill out the window. Few thing to look at is in our room we had a massive crack in a over mirror lamp and a hole on the wall, which should be sorted before other guests check in, as it brings the quality of stay down.

We stayed here for three nights on our journey across the Swiss Alps. Our arrival was marred by the absence of snow and the delay checking in due to the absence of reception staff. Our room was a lovely large space with two double windows a sitting area with sofa, chairs, coffee table and desk and very comfortable bed. The...

Stayed in January for the week's winter activities holiday organised by Inn travel. Fantastic hotel. Everywhere clean and warm. Had the pool to ourselves. Restaurant waiters were especially charming. Breakfast was adequate but the evening meals were of a very high standard, with good choice and good wines.

Stayed here for a week on an Inn Travel winter holiday. This is a lovely hotel in a small village surrounded by incredibly beautiful scenery. Our "Comfort Room" was, indeed, comfortable and also spacious and very clean. Facilities are good, including a fair sized pool that was always quiet during our week. The public areas are very pleasant and welcoming....

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a 12 day tour through Switzerland and while we had a wonderful stay in the area (due to a fresh pack of snow) and enjoyed the friendly front desk service on check in, the large lounge area and stylisch breakfast room, a few areas let the place down somewhat: The room...

We stayed here for 3 nights as a party of 40 just before Christmas. The public areas, dining and lounge are stunning and extremely well furnished and comfortable. They also have a delightful but badly lit library, indoor swimming pool and children's playroom. The bedrooms were large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and the mirror well...

We were the guests from hell during a Christmas stay this year. We all came down with flu on the morning we left the UK, and arrived angry, tired and in my daughter's case, prone to projectile vomiting. The couple who run the hotel and their daughter couldn't do enough for us, whilst enduring our whining with gracious smiles. They...
