The ALPINE LODGES by Plattner & Plattner are located in Pontresina in a quiet yet central panoramic position. They where designed in collaboration with the local architect Mr. Hans-Jürg Stricker and the innovative carpenter Mr. Ramon Zangger. Massive Cembra pine and wood concrete blend beautifully with light, soft materials such as sheep’s wool and heavier fabrics, reflecting the Engadine in its authentic and original form. Furniture and facilities are an effortless blend of modern and traditional, typical of the region. On the ground floor, guests will find a spa with a large sauna, steam bath and a gym with five Life Fitness units. The Pontresina promenade, with its numerous restaurants, shops, a cinema, a children's playground and the Bellavita Waterpark and Spa is located right on the doorstep. The Upper Engadine’s comprehensive range of sports, leisure and cultural activities are just a stone's throw away.

We spent a wonderful week in Pontresina. Richard collected us from the train station on arrival and then even took us to a supermarket out of town as the one in Pontresina had just closed for the evening. We were also upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was a lovely surprise. The apartments are very modern, extremely clean and well fitted out with anything you may need during your stay. The washing machine in the basement was very useful too. It was all pros and no cons staying here. We would definitely recommend the apartments to others and would choose to stay here again.

We always enjoy coming back to one of these wonderful apartments. They are situated perfectly in Pontresina in Engadin and are clean, quiet, modern and huge, with everything that is needed. We can hardly wait to go back! It feels a bit like our second home. Thank you Mr. Plattner for always being very kind and for having us.

Modern decor, fully equipped kitchen (with Nespresso machine), very quiet and immaculately clean. Grocery store, restaurants, and municipal pool are just down the hill. Indoor parking. Brisk climb from the main street - good exercise! Laundry room has washer (free, including detergent) and lines for drying. In summer, free concerts in the woods every morning. No on-site management, but they are just a phone call away.

A truly authentic hotel of olde rustic charm situated in centre of town within walking distance of most facilities. Wood and wood paneling everywhere, (plus mountain goat horns, in every conceivable place). Room was quite large with the 'European std double room' consisting of two singles, (still coming to grips with that - so used of the King double at home), and a cute small table and two chairs. Our room also had a pull down single bed, great for a trio travelling, or a child. Bathroom was more than adequate. Breakfast facilities and selection, included in our rate, was good. Although not a great deal to do in summer in St. Moritz and very expensive to stay in winter this hotel was adequate for the group requirement.

My wife and i had a wonderful trip to Pontresina and the Alpine Lodge Chesa Plattner. Rooms were ulta clean and we liked the decor. The room was convenient to everything and the person who checked us in (sry forgot the name) was extremely helpful. He also picked us up at the train station for no fee. Not a long walk but it is an upward trek from the rail station and would not have been fun. We walked down the morning we left but downhill with suitcases on wheels was no big deal. The rooms had everything we need and we took advantage of the washer dryer in the basement. There was a work out area and a suana plus a garage for the guests although we did not need it. We used our Swiss Pass for the entire week and had no trouble getting around Switzerland. Pontresina is the place to go to get more of an outdoorsy Colorado feel. We enjoyed the Berner Oberland area but Pontresina was enjoyable as well. Definitely worth the trip. The only cons i had was that everything in the room was in German as far as what to see and do.

We are a family of four (incl. 2 teenagers) and spent a week at the very modern but cozy Alpine Lodge in Pontressina. It was fantastic. Our flat was small but extremely practical and bright and there is plenty of storage in the flat. All ski equipment, coats, etc can be stored separately downstairs. The flat is beautifully designed, practical but stylish and the kitchen and bathrooms are functional and modern. The wellness centre is first class and whilst co-ed discrete enough that my children felt comfortable going on their own. Herr Plattner is the ultimate host. He looked after everything and we felt welcome there. The Engadin is sensational in winter and summer and there is a great variety of skiing on the doorstep of Pontresina. Fantastic cross country as well as 3 great resorts for alpine skiing. We cant wait to go back!

Smart concept in a beautiful area. Very nice interior with outstanding service. Good value Mr Plattner is a very experienced hotel manager (Saratz) and lives he his concept. Pontresina and the area of the Engadin is offering currently very nice rates for the slope tickets. But only if you book directly . Further on the room you can book More services such as room service, refill of your fridge. Sauna, Gym and Washroom included. Very clean! WLAN access and much more. Pontresina has many restaurants and more.
