The hotel’s dessert buffet is the stuff of legends and for a reason. Even if not staying at the hotel, a quick snack here is an unmissable treat with local specialties such as the bündner nusstorte, and the fresh fruit garnished wonderful mousse de chocolat.
Stunning location. Comfortable and spotless rooms. Excellent restaurant that accommodated all of our needs. Kind and caring staff. Highly recommend. Do not miss the opportunity to discover the Roseg Hotel and its surroundings.
THIS REVIEW PERTAINS ONLY TO THEIR RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED RESTAURANT DURING OUR VISIT WITH OUR TOUR GROUP. Great Scenic but monopolized location so the staff takes advantage and their overly expensive meals reflect this fact. Our Tour director called them before we arrived, asked about accepting credit cards, and the staff said that they would accept credit cards - no problem. However, after arriving via horse carriage ride and eating a meal for two valued over $40, the staff flat out lied and said they could not accept credit cards because their machine was down. We didn't bring Francs so we had to pay with Euros and they always try to rip you off with the conversion. If you're in the area on a Sunday and you opt for a horse carriage ride like we did, you're better off packing a lunch than getting ripped off at this place.…
My wife and I had lunch here to celebrate our wedding anniversary -- the food and service was exceptional. I had arranged to have flowers in advance and the manager could not have been more helpful or more friendly -- she was simply fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant!
I literally stumbled into this Hotel last year & I vowed to return to stay. You get there by taxi or walking but a horse drawn carriage is also possible if reserved & the is a magical experience! It is a quaint hotel in a beautiful isolated location with stunning views. The staff are very friendly & the rooms are simple & comfortable. The terrace is just lovely. The hosts are a very nice couple. Not expensive either. My only gripe was the quality of food- but it seems that this is a problem all over SR. Several good walks from this Hotel- to Tschivera, Chamanna & Corvatsch Huts.
Roseg Gletcher Hotel is the most romantic and beautiful place in the world! We have stayed there two years in a row now and we will be going back as soon as we can. Wolfgang and Lucezia are a wonderfully hospitable couple and along with their team they run an extremely service oriented hotel. Wolfgang ALWAYS has time to say hello and ask how you are and if you need anything. The restaurant staff are incredible - so professional and attentive!! I want to thank Miro, Ivano, Francesco, Edwardo who all took very good care of us at dinner and breakfast. The food is also amazing!! Along with the entire setting - views of glaciers and incredible hiking opportunities - this place is an absolute must if you are in that area of Switzerland. We LOVE this place!!!
This small Hotel is situated in a vaste natural reserve and you can't drive there, you have to be picked up by the hotel. The location is really beautiful - with a big glacier upfront. Meadows with cows with bells around their necks makes the place even more romantic. Very popular for hikers & mountainbikers. Good (but Very Expensive restaurang) with very good service. Nice hiking paths. Well worth a trip to a serene alpine location on S small road Less traveled by.
This is a hidden jewel around the alps. It is not only the place, its also the service, the rooms, the food at the marvellous restaurant. It was a pleasure!! We will recommend and come back for sure!!
Our 5 days in this hotel are memorable. The environment is amazing and the hikes to the mountain huts are beautiful. The Hotel provides you with an excellent pic-nick if you need. The hotel is nice and very quiet. We booked a room with private bathroom. It is simple and the sound insulation is not perfect, but it is comfortable. The staff and the management are very friendly, generous and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, and you enjoy and amazing desert buffet, which remains available throughout the day. We will certainly come back.
We walked up to this hotel from Pontresina Railway Station. It's an easy 7km walk which took us about 2hours. If you don't want to walk you can go by horse drawn cart or even cross country ski up there. The restaurant is beautiful. They were very welcoming and spoke good English. We only wanted a snack, so had a big bowl of barley soup and bread and a drink and this was fine. The full restaurant menu looked delicious and we were sorry we didn't want to eat a full meal there. The meal was expensive compared to UK prices, but still excellent value because of the fantastic surroundings and pleasant staff.
