We had a great stay here with a very small child. Food was also very tasty and they took great care of somebody in our group that has some food intolerance. A lovely place we can highly recommend. And we plan to return soon.

I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend at least a night's stay (an excellent alternative to the pricey hotels in St Moritz) for the experience of an old world hotel standard that can rarely be found nowadays.

We could never afford the Palace Hotel in St Moritz, so we hiked to Pontresina and stayed at the Hotel Walther. I'm not sure of the price because we were part of a tour group with Wilderness Travel, but the hotel reminded me of the movie about the Grand Budapest hotel. I am no foodie, but those who among us... Such a warm and welcoming establishment. Fourth generation of families and feel at home by all the staff. The food is outstanding and only made better by the lovely wait staff. Had breakfast and dinner for two days. Large room and even had a huge balcony and walk in closet. Small quaint town with beautiful views.

We had lovely weekend break at Hotel Walther, reception was ready for us with fresh glasses of orange juice, reserved parking spot and an activity bag for our two small children. The owner greeted us as we arrived and this set the tone for the whole stay. Our room was spacious, clean and our dog was provided with a bed,... More

A Gastronomic wonderland! This very beautiful and charming 3rd generation family hotel sits majestically in the little village of Pontresina just down the valley from St Moritz. It offers the highest standards in every respect. The food is its crown. The spa is fantastic. Afternoon tea a delight. A lovely walk from the hotel and you're right on the St... More

The rooms were comfortable. We got an upgrade on both basic double room and single room. The staff and services were completely satisfactory. The breakfast was rich and with local good food. We got half pension scheme, so we tested the food offered for dinner and all was delicious.

I love this hotel enough that I will stay there again next year! I just stayed at Hotel Walther for 5 nights and enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet, incredible hikes on 3 days with the included hotel guide, the wellness center, afternoon cake, the free alphorn concert at their restaurant across the street. Great staff, nice location in cute Pontresina.

My husband and I love to hike and wanted to experience the Pontresina (Engadine) region. A casual acquaintance suggested the Walther and we couldn't have been more delighted. Our room was lovely but most notable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - both the front desk and the dining room - and too the lovely Mrs. Walther... More

Once again we selected this hotel (last stay was in September 2014) - and - alas - we noticed that the high standard is a durable fact. The longtime staff members have welcomed us like we never have been away. The selected hotel room was beautiful. The food offered was - in quality and variety - a dream. The wine... More
