We stayed 4 nights in this hotel between Christmas and New Year 2021. The hotel is located in the middle of the village near restaurants and shops. The food was very good, breakfast had enough to offer. We had a dinner in hotel restaurant one night which was very tasty. We had junior suite overlooking hotel carpark and side road. The room was very spacious and quiet. There are slippers and dressing gowns. I normally don't sleep well in the hotels because of the different noises but I slept very well in this bedroom. There were however few negatives which we also mentioned at checkout. The living room with sofa bed did not have any proper curtains to keep street lights and morning light from all the windows away and there was also no privacy in the evenings because of the net curtains. The sofa bed is not for 2 people. Maybe two small children. Whenever one person moves, the whole sofa bed moves. It was not comfortable for our two 13 years old children. There is not much space where to sit in the living room, just one armchair and sofa bed which if it has bedding, has to be put away every day. There is not much space to put wet shoes with dirty snow away. Just a tray for two pairs which is not enough considering there is a lot of space for at least another tray. I didn't like that all room keys were stored by the staircase on the way to the rooms, not at the reception. Anyone could just walk in, grab a key and walk upstairs into the room. I therefore kept our room key with me whenever we went out. Having said that, this is definitely a nice hotel with great staff and great rooms and I would definitely come back, just not in the junior suite with our teenage children, but I would opt for two doubles.…
A real gem in the mountains! Lovely double room with very comfortable bed and tastefully furnished. Konrad, the manager and his team run a super efficient and welcoming establishment where nothing is too much trouble! The breakfast spread was superb with a good variety of cereals, breads and fruit. The main restaurant, The Stuva is superb and the food of a very high standard. The Chateaubriand was 3 star standard! Thank you again to Konrad and his team for making us so welcome! We will be back!
Modern amenities and styling with an alpine feel. Walking distance but uphill from the Pontresina railway station. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant on 2 nights and the meals were fresh, tasty and well prepared. The restaurant was busy on both nights so I suggest booking a table to avoid disappointment. Provides a good continental breakfast in a light and airy room. My friend celebrated her Birthday here and was given a complimentary bottle of Proseco which we enjoyed in the well appointed lounge area.
Spectacular breakfasts. Extensive selections of foods and beverages. Modern design in an historic shell. Well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to be helpful. Lovely dining spaces, indoors and out.
Very hard to fault Hotel Muller-so many excellent qualities-lovely welcome, free parking, great location, welcome drink, excellent restaurant for dinner and perfect breakfast. Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Special mention to Conrad who was very welcoming, friendly and gave excellent local knowledge for activities. Highly recommended.
nice food, they offer a broad variety of pasta, meat and fish. everything we ate was prepared fresh - you simply taste the difference! what we liked most: they don’t use much salt, so if required everyone can add to their liking.
We were spending a few days in Pontresina in Hotel Müller and when we made our booking, there was one room left. Communication with the hotel (Herr Messner and Frau Sappa) was friendly and prompt. The hotel is in the main street of Pontresina and offers off street parking. Upon checkin, we got a room on a higher floor with a good view of the mountain and Samedan, the neighbouring village. Checkin (with Frau Sappa?) was quick and efficient and very friendly. We got all the information about the hotel and were given our Engadin public transportation card. As the jacuzzi was out of order, we were offered complementary entrance tickets to the (almost) next door Bella Vita public swimming pool. Hotel guests are offered the possibility of booking a table for the set menu at very reasonable prices (SFr. 40). You can look at the menu every morning and then decide. The hotel is small (23 rooms), but our room was spacious and very elegantly decorated. The beds were very comfy and both the room and the bathroom were in very good order and very clean. The hotel has turndown service. The staff are all very friendly and do their best to make you feel at home. The breakfast is very elaborate. There are lots of choices and eggs are made to order. The set menu we had one evening was of good quality and size and nicely presented. We have heard from locals that the Mueller restaurant has a very good name and after having eaten there, we can only confirm. We would be happy to come again.…
We had a beautiful dinner at the Müller. The best atmosphere is in our opinion in the Stüva (the room in the corner towards the street). We suggest to book in advance as they are often fully booked. The chateaubriand was amazing - and huge. We didn't make to have a dessert as we were more than full. Some years ago I had the exquisite crepes Suzette. Which I recommend to order without the orange peel pieces, as they make it quite bitter. The service is extremely kind. The Restaurant Müller is certainly one of the most cozy, delicious and romantic places in Pontresina.
This was the most beautiful hotel on my vacation. It was up to date, with motion sensor lights in the hallways and a Nespresso machine in the room. Very attractively presented with minimalist but luxurious furniture. Room (actually, the whole danged hotel) was spotless, as were the windows, all the better to see those mountains. Plenty of floor space and decent closet space. My only trouble was phoning the hotel after hours. It is family run and it seems the phone goes to voicemail after 8pm. The greeting message is in German (I think?) with no option for an English translation. The staff were great to work with. I had some troubles with my travel plans but they rolled with the changes, and I feel they made a strong effort to make my stay a good one.
We were so pleasantly surprised at how much we loved this hotel! The five course "half board" dinner was like fine dining and very reasonably priced. Our room was comfortable and included amenities like a Nespresso machine and Swiss chocolates. The breakfast is good and the room used for the half board and the complimentary breakfast looks like it was recently remodeled--very nice. We used the hotel's bikes to ride around town. A huge benefit was the local transportation pass (Engadin card) that the hotel gave us. We used it to go to the top of the mountain in St Moritz for free. If we were reading the signs correctly, this trip (2 funiculars and one cable car) is priced at 150 Swiss Francs for each adult! We highly recommend this hotel!
