Renovated hotel, very clean, with a warm swimming pool and spa which are superbly comfortable after a morning of skiing, the building has a ski room and a heating and ski boot drying installation, which is very useful to customers made up largely of families of skiers, the Signal lift being located about 100 meters from the hotel which makes it in my opinion the best located hotel in the region, in any case to my knowledge.

All members of the staff are friendly, smiling and attentive. There is a large games room for children with table football, ping pong table, arcade games and billiards.

The rooms are cleaned efficiently and quickly. Adequately equipped, allowing ski clothing to be dried

The hotel offers half board which makes logistics for big and small skiers incredibly easy. With systematically meat-fish-vegan menus and always a children's menu corner. The breakfasts suit all tastes with pastries, three types of bread, four types of cheese, hams, birchers, fruit salad, coffee machine, milk and oat milk available. The meals are delicious, with moments of lovely surprises like this fun raclette evening the day before last night.

I recommend this hotel to any person, couple or family who wants to make the most of the mountains in Crans-Montana. Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience

The reception staff are friendly and the staff also on the other hand regarding the layout and comfort of the rooms… and the housekeeping is not up to the standard of a 4* hotel: 1st night spent at the the hotel cleaning could not be carried out…, we asked the next day why… we were told at reception: “ah yes but we had too many departures and arrivals”!!!! This is not a valid excuse it is either poor planning or lack of staff!
The rooms are not equipped with minibar or telephone!! There are no cupboards... just a kind of open wardrobe storage and a few shelves, no trash can in the bedroom, just a mini trash can in the bathroom. the layout is not great and the television placed on the wall makes it almost impossible to watch it correctly! We stayed 1 week.. the spa: swimming pool or at the time: Valaisia there were relaxing lighting jets.. the hammam did not work for a few days! Cleanliness in the showers… hair on the floor….!
Not enough parking for customers! First to arrive, above all, don't move your vehicle if there are crowds at the hotel.. otherwise you will have to find parking outside... and pay by the day!
If you accidentally soil a towel too much, you will be charged 40 CHF
Also finish your plates during your meal otherwise you will be charged 5 CHF! I find this type of article inappropriate for this type of establishment….

We had a good experience at the Faern hotel and could consider to come back. However I would like to make a couple of comments:
1. We found the hallways not too clean. They would require more vacuum. And our room was also very rapidly cleaned, not very well done. Maybe this is due to the fact that the hotel was very full as it is high season between Christmas and new year. Also, the heater in our room was not working and they had placed a small electric heat. Okay but the bathroom was cold.
2. The spa would require major renovation. None of the massaging jets were working. Furthermore, the pool was crowded with loud kids jumping everywhere. Kids under the age of 12 or 14 should not have access to the spa/pool area. If you are looking for a calm place to relax, this is not the place to be, especially after the ski hours.
3. Breakfast was nice. If you get there at 9.00/9.30 things have finished up but they refill them.
4. Parking is a nightmare. During the rush holiday season if you get to the hotel in the afternoon, no places are available. You need to park at parking Stephanie 5-10 minutes walk down the hotel for 50chf per week if available or 2 francs per hour.

Personnel was nice, nothing to say. The room was functional and new (at least ours). We did not have any dinner nor lunch at hotel. Just a late snack at the bar. Nice. The cabins are very near. This is very practical for skiers

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay at Faern Hotel and for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. I sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered in the hallways and your room. We strive to maintain high standards of cleanliness, especially during peak seasons, and I regret that we fell short on this occasion. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping team for immediate improvement. I understand your concerns about the spa area and the noise levels due to children. We will certainly review our policies regarding access to the spa/pool area to ensure a more serene environment for relaxation, particularly during peak hours. Regarding breakfast, I appreciate your feedback on the timing of replenishing items. We will aim to improve our breakfast service to ensure all guests have a satisfying experience. Parking congestion during the holiday season is indeed a challenge, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We'll explore possible solutions to improve this aspect for our guests in the future. I'm glad you found our personnel accommodating and enjoyed the functionality and modernity of your room. Your satisfaction is essential to us, and we'll work diligently to address the areas you've highlighted for improvement. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with an even more enjoyable stay. Warm regards,

- Arrival chaos in front of the hotel with vehicles and parking spaces
- Rooms not ready until 5 p.m. instead of 3 p.m. as promised
- Very noisy
- Breakfast buffet, refilling scrambled eggs takes about 30 minutes
- Spa/swimming pool area from 1970... very old and dirty
- Access to the spa: if you are not in the main building, you have to go outside or underground through a corridor like an air raid shelter, then through the underground car park where everything is under water (winter/snow)
- Kids playroom 50% of the installations out of order, ceiling lighting broken
- Cleanliness in the room leaves a lot to be desired, lots of dust
- Cleaning service only made the bed on the first day, no vacuuming, no toilet cleaning, on the second day the room was cleaned at 5.30 p.m.!!!!
- Long waiting times for food

In summary, a hotel where you would rather leave a day early than stay an extra night! It's a shame, because overall it would be a very nice renovated hotel with a TOP location and a wonderful view. However, it does not live up to its price/performance ratio in any way. The service is overall unsatisfactory, this is probably mainly due to the lack of staff (a small example on the side: one employee is simultaneously a concierge, receptionist and service employee and on top of that they all wear the same uniform!)

We have been frequenting this recently renovated hotel for almost 40 years.
The red flowers that covered the facade have been replaced by dull-colored panels.
The interior of the building has been completely renovated, rooms, bathroom fixtures, elevators and door opener cards adopted. Very nice but the light switch system in the rooms is complicated as is the use of the taps in the shower.
The spa area has been greatly reduced. The legendary 33 degree salt water pool has become a very normal 30 degree fresh water pool with no hydromassages, water jets, waterfalls etc. and will never be restored. The small, warm red pool is closed. The entire area is no longer monitored and insufficient cleaning everywhere. The internal solarium area is messy and uninviting while part of the external one is unusable due to work left pending.
The cuisine is quite good but the offer in general is poor, especially breakfast. Special dinners such as the buffet campaign, the fondue chinoise and the dessert buffet have been abolished. The snack offer at the outdoor swimming pool where you could enjoy fabulous canapes and fruit tarts has also been reduced. No tablecloths, just paper napkins with only two cutlery.
The internal "cafeteria" where you can stop in case of bad weather has been closed to make room for rooms.
In general the service staff is very friendly, above average.
Prices increased and supply significantly reduced.
Disappointed.

What a desappointment…
Last year in February, we chose your hotel because it offered good value for money. The prices were relatively attractive. The swimming pool was well equipped with jets and jacuzzi. The room was small and poorly equipped, but for the price it was acceptable, especially since you announced a renovation. The restaurant offered a menu that could be classified as haute cuisine.
Based on the experience, we booked our stay for January 10-13, 12024.
Any big disappointment. The layout of the rooms was identical, except that nothing had changed. Minimum surface area. No cabinets, no desk, no wardrobe, no notepad, no pen, etc. nothing at all.
As for the tiny bathroom, it had no heating, the radiator had been dismantled. The tiny basin was placed on a tubular frame. No place to put toiletry bags. No product or hair cap, etc.
And to think that you claim that your hotel is a 4 star, but where did you get these stars.
All the 3-star hotels in the region have much better equipment than yours. Your hotel can be classified with 2 stars plus.
On the other hand, your prices have gone up.
As for the restaurant, it is more like a canteen, no tablecloths, not even sets. At breakfast there is no cup for espresso coffee, but only bowls. Here again you claim to be a 4 star.
The prices have gone up, but the quality is lower, also in the catering, the evening and breakfast buffet are frankly limited, it's not very varied.
As for the swimming pool, no jets, no jacuzzi and no one informed us when booking.
This is not a renovation that you have carried out, but simply a homeopathic maintenance.
The only positive point is your staff who try to do their best to raise the standard, they are all very friendly and professional. We thank them for their welcome and their patience.

We as a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed our stay in this hotel from the very beginning. The hotel and its staff have already convinced us on the first day with their exceptional quality, immaculate order, modern facilities and outstanding cleanliness. The staff at the reception are not only extremely friendly, but also extremely competent and helpful.

The breakfast buffet was simply fantastic, with a wide selection that was ideal for both us adults and children. The nutritious offer ensured that we could all start the day stronger. Dinner, which is served daily as a menu and can be put together to your own taste, was always a culinary highlight. The first-class and extremely personable chef, who sometimes prepared the dishes right in front of the guests, impressed us all. A big thank you also to all the restaurant staff who were friendly, attentive and professional throughout and helped make us feel completely comfortable eating.

The rooms were cleaned every day by the cleaners with the utmost care and always looked as fresh as the first day. The children loved the cleanliness and beautiful decor. Particularly impressive is the mountain view: The views of Crans-Montana and the surrounding Alpine landscape are simply breathtaking.

High praise goes to all the staff, including Mrs Antoinette, who has impressed us time and again with her kindness, competence and sympathy. She always welcomed us with a smile and was always helpful, no matter what concerns it was about. The reception is always on hand to provide advice and assistance.

In summary, this hotel is convincing in every respect and absolutely worth a stay – both for couples and families with children. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

On arrival check in the staff was very good and the room good. However, it is unfortunate not to have air conditioning.

At the restaurant we had half-board and the quality of the dishes was very average... we knew something else at another time (change of owner? group?). It was stiflingly hot in the dining room, nothing was open (no anticipation), we had to ask for the windows to be opened. Also, the wait was long, for half-board, it doesn't work, but also when 2 people are in the room and the third smokes her cigarette with the receptionists...

At the outdoor terrace I ordered an orangina displayed at 33 cl for 5.- and I was served a 25 cl orangina for the same price of course. I pointed this out to the waiter (I did not receive anything in compensation...)

The swimming pool has shrunk considerably, compared to the time, what a shame.

The "SPA" is simply non-existent, there is water in the pool but no more jets, no more bubbles, no more water current. Finished, finished. This also existed at the time. But the highlight of the experience was that we were told with confidence: "You have to find out beforehand, find out if the spa works"...

Cocktails at the bar, inside, there is a gentleman who I think is professional and that's it. A young woman made us cocktails, real swimming pools, ice cubes all the way to the top of the glass, no taste, very disappointed (once again), we went the next day to the center of Crans where they were really delicious! In short, the experience will not happen again, we will now go elsewhere. My neighbors who also used to go there told us the same thing.

When you arrive, you get the feeling that you are not welcome as a guest, especially as a German-speaking Swiss. No staff member at reception or in the dining room speaks German. In a hotel in Switzerland, we expect the staff to be able to speak standard German. There was also no information about the discounted mountain railway offers and free buses within Crans Montana. You had to find out all the information yourself. Except for the information about the hotel.

The outdoor pool is very nice, but there is no outdoor shower. Everyone goes into the outdoor pool without showering, which is very, very unhygienic. The massage jets in the indoor pool don't work.

In the dining room, you feel like you are in a canteen, there is no holiday atmosphere. 75 cl. bottles of wine are poured without the guest being present. In addition, the hotel does not offer 50 cl. bottles of wine, only a glass with 10 cl. wine, and you don't know whether it is the wine you ordered. The presentation of the food on the plate is without refinement or ideas. Price/performance not met.

The cleanliness in the hallways leaves a lot to be desired. The musty smell leaves you with the feeling that the carpets haven't been cleaned for a long time. The balcony floor has also been in need of cleaning for a long time.
Finally, something positive: The room in the annex building where we were staying has been beautifully renovated and the sanitary facilities worked perfectly. The balcony was also spacious.
We will not recommend the hotel to anyone.

We decided to take a very large (triple) room for our comfort during these 10 days at Faern. Comfortable room, perfectly clean with good bedding. Breakfast very good and for the few meals taken in the evening, we note an improvement compared to last year in quality. At all levels the staff is impeccable, welcoming, smiling and available.
Parking is expensive but necessary, the center of Montana can be reached by an impressive escalator ~100 meters from the Pension which makes things easy for people with reduced mobility. Heated swimming pool outside and for winter the
reopening of the SPA and the large indoor pool is announced.
We will gladly return this winter.
Small point to improve: give the possibility to put the subtitles on the TV 😉
