Aurora is not fancy and maybe a little dated, but the room was spacious, clean. The hotel has an elevator, bicycle storage, and a wonderful terrace and sun room. Breakfast was very good. Very biker friendly with covered parking in front. Best part of our 4 night stay was the great staff. Our hostess, Andrea, was outstanding. Excellent value, too.

Used the hotel for a stop over on a motorbike trip. Hotel was excellent, clean and a good breakfast. Very bike friendly and we were able to park the bikes safely. Excellent bbq at lunchtime with good local beer. Would have loved to have spent the evening there for dinner and drinks but sadly they don’t open in the eff v endings for food and drink. Many thanks we will definatley return.

I have enjoyed my stay in Andermatt and Hotel Aurora. People are very friendly and helpful if you are new to this great destination. The view from the room was down into the valley, with the famous golf course in the distance. In the evening we could see the light lit up church in the next village, which was quite romantic. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

Stayed on cycle tour and hotel is very basic, clean and a step back into the 1960's. We were soaked the previous day and the drying room was useful however not warm enough to dry stuff overnight. The food was ok as were the breakfasts. Wifi did not work in room just about says it all.

Simple hotel with clean rooms and limited other facilities. Mainly caters for winter visitors, so rather quite in the summer. Easy walk to attractive town centre. Basic but perfectly adequate breakfast. Note - reception hours very limited, so if you check in late you may need to telephone to be let in.

Located at the end of the main town but within easy walking distance of eateries. Rooms were of decent size and large windows afforded stunning views of the snow capped mountains. As the weather was rather warm, the room did heat up with the afternoon sun. Service was good but wifi somewhat patchy. We had a couple of nice breakfasts.

Relaxed check-in, and neat well ventilated room. Had a view down the valley to the west from an upper level room above the restaurant. Breakfast was typically Swiss ( muesli and yoghurt with bread and jam and coffee) and okay, but choice was a bit limited considering we had to fuel up for the day’s cycling.

Definitely overpriced. The only Positive aspect : It is basic , warm and clean and the gentleman at the reception was nice. The rest is very low average. Breakfast was absurd at 9.30 everything was finished and we had to ask for everything including to clean a table where to sit as everything was used and dirty. Too little variety and when we asked the last day for croissant they snorted and said in poor english finished finished and were super unpolite. Staff is rude and not polite, their english is very basic and they do not understand when you ask for basic things. The night of new year’s eve at 6 pm we wanted to sit for a quick drink at the restaurant they let us sit and order and then when they brought the drink they said that they allow us to stay only for 5 min because the tables was reserved and after 5 min they brought the bill and practically kick us out. 13 cfh for a small bottle of water and 5 min sit.... absurd!!!! Never never again!

If you are looking for a 1960s or 1970s experience come here, otherwise dont. Weird oldstyle hotel, very poor short bed, strange policy of locking front door early evening, dark atmosphere... I think for a horror movie would be just ok:-) I personally hate carpets on the floor - in hotels should be forbidden. Anyway to be pretty honest the hotel is clean, the room is big, the breakfast is ok but... wouldn stay again.
