The entrance to this hotel is a beautiful lobby that represents the full charm of this old school building. You will be welcomed with distiguished and skilled service. The interior design of our room as well as the breakfast restaurant and also the wellness area appeared fairly outdated. This excludes the charming pool area which is also quite spacious. They...

We have visited Hotel Altes Gymnasium more than once and each time it really lives up to is name 'Geniesserhotel' - i.e. a place where you can enjoy life. The building itself has character and the general layout of the hotel including rooms signals luxury in a very pleasant way. The hotel is ideally situated quietly but still close to...

Despite of the old look, the hotel is perfect for those who want to have a relaxing trip. It also has a sauna(dry and wet) and pool area and also a fitness gym. The restaurant was ok. The rooms at the bottom floor were quiet each time I went to this hotel. The parking area is large and the hotel...

The hotel was beautiful. There was a large swimming pool with several amusing water toys. The breakfast place was built under glass in what seemed to be an old yard. Stunning view of the old buildings while eating a perfect breakfast. The hotel is in walking distance (5 minutes) from the harbour with all the cafés and restaurants. The shopping...

Stayed here recently for 2 nights. Husum in winter is not very exciting despite the Xmas market in the town square. This hotel, though, is a super place to stay. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. The free Wifi works well and the spa is lovely. The steam room and sauna are nice and hot so be careful not...

We stayed at the Altes Gymnasium for 2 nights and we could not have made a better choice. One cannot but fall in love with this beautiful hotel which used to be the High School of Husum for almost 130 years. When I walked into the big reception area a big smile lit up my face as I gazed at...

Beautiful conversion from school into luxury hotel in the heart of Husum. Quiet location yet just a few minutes walking distance from the centre of Husum and the quayside. Delicious breakfast buffet in relaxing atmosphere. Stylish bedroom. Quite expensive but still considered good value. Free secure car parking.

This hotel is very Nice and charming. It is situated in an old school and has a big swimmingpool with a lot of fun features. The rooms are big, clean and nice! The breakfast is very luxurious - there is even champagne. BUT the service is very poor... when we arrived and checked in we were given No information what...

We stopped here for the night as we had a wedding in the area. A nice central location to the small town it's located in. Our room was spacious, well appointed and clean. We had little time to appreciate the hotel before leaving for the wedding reception, however, the morning after made up for that. A morning swim in the...

First of all I can recommend Husum with its charming port area where you can enjoy your matjes herring "mit Bratkartoffeln Hausfrauart". And if you go to Husum I can recommend Altes Gymnasium as a 5 star hotel with its excellent service and friendliness. Husum is also the birthplace of the famous novelist Theodor Storm. Even if Husum is the...
