We spent a few nights at Hotel Zur Loreley this summer and everything was great: clean, quiet, great breakfast, a really delicious dinner and wonderful hosts. Plus great location close to the ferry and restaurants.

Hello, there are tracks along both sides of the river bank so can't escape that noise when travelling in this area . I frankly do not remember being disturbed by train noise but I'm also a heavy sleeper. I had to think hard about this and had you not posed the question, the issue would not have been part of my Lorelei memories. Enjoy your trip. Spouse reminded me you can also hear boat and barge noise, but again, cannot recall being disturbed by it.
