We stayed in this hotel for four nights during our holidays in Germany. The hotel is located next to a lake and this makes the location very idyllic with nice foot paths for walking to the city center. Rooms are nicely decorated, bathroom is modern. Everybody working at the hotel is very friendly and helpful (and they do have a lot of staff). There is free parking and you can rent bikes in the hotel. The hotel has two restaurants, unfortunately the restaurant awarded with a Michelin-star was closed during our stay due to the Covid situation. Furthermore there is a nice bar where you also can have a late night drink and there is the casino of Bad Zwischenahn also in the hotel. Overall we had a very pleasant stay, it was relaxing and we will definitely come back on another occasion.…
I only spent a brief, one night stay at this, hotel. The setting is magnificent and the property beautifully maintained. My bedroom was large and had a wonderful view f the lake. The welcoming at the reception was excellent. We had a lovely dinner and the waiters were very professional and warm I did not take advantage of the spa for which the hotel is known.
We have stayed at this hotel many times during the last 20 years and as always never dissapointed . Nice rooms , good servoce and excellent staff . Free parking and rooms and beds are top range . We are always coming back
Stayed for one night on a stop for driving through Europe. The hotel is located on the bank of a see in a very nice location. Foot paths along the shore to the nearest village with restaurants etc. Very quiet surrondings and hotel. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet.
This is really a Hotel who knows how to make guests happy. The room we have in the new building is Top, they really thought about all details and if even if you are disabled here you will be at the right place. Private beach, great spa , food is nice . Casino is connected at the old building if you want to gamble .... and Bad Zwischenahn a nice little city. Try it out, you won't regret it !
Romantik Hotels set a high standard for their hoteliers, and the Jagdhaus Eiden am See did not disappoint! My husband and I were looking for a quick overnight getaway. Located in the spa town of Bad Zwischenahn near Oldenburg, we found the pampered relaxation we were seeking! In fact, since our stay was so short, we were unable to take advantage of the many offerings, which means we will definitely take advantage of one of their well-priced package deals in the near future. We stayed in one of the older but nicely appointed suites in the hotel proper, with a corner view of the Zwischenahner See (lake). The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The concierge gave us a tour of the property, as we had missed the 10am tour with the owner. The rooms in the new building are very tasteful and one of the larger suites includes its own spa, complete with sauna! The spa area is an oasis of relaxation. Though small by some standards, it is perfectly suited to the hotel, quiet, and an excellent place to recharge. Next time I will be booking one of their many services! We ate at the restaurant "Apicus" 3 times (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and were very happy with the quality and presentation of their offerings. The service was top-notch, as one would expect of a Michelin-star restaurant and the wine menu very well-rounded. In the warmer months of the year, the kitchen uses fresh produce from their on-site garden. My one feedback would be to make sure that experienced staff accompany trainees. At the bar, a new, young trainee did not know what kind of gin they had in stock, which I'm sure is not a common question, but they seemed very nervous and embarrassed. Next time, we will also make time to go to the casino, which was full. Overall, we found the Jagdhaus Eiden to be delightful, relaxing, classy and very enjoyable, and we look forward to exploring Bad Zwischenahn by bicycle as well!…
Although not all the staff there can speak English, they were very helpful. The hotel was extremely quiet. There were also a lot of choices for breakfast. The English tea was expectedly of good quality.
Wanna live there forever! Very stylish and clean hotel, the breakfast is awesome, as well as the swimming pool and location. Just in love with this hotel. Who is interested, can find a casino on the first floor:))
Second time we stayed in this hotel for a short break. Excellent situated on the borders of the lake, spacious, excellent rooms. The restaurant offers a very good a la carte menu. The breakfast buffet is amazing plentiful. Very kind service for renting a bike and so on, litterally an excellent hotel!
Our visit in August was our second time around at this hotel, and we were not disappointed this time either. For us the hotel is perfectly located as a place to make a stopover, if you are driving from Scandinavia down to Holland catch a ferry to UK. The check-in was friendly and efficient, and we were soon in our room overlooking the lake and sitting on our terrace with a refreshment. We had booked a Superior room, and was allocated one in the new extension. It was a most impressive room, and a room that truly inspired us to stay longer another time, and explore the area - Ammerland. We dined outside and had a great meal at an reasonable price. Breakfast next morning was also taken outside, and the buffet in the restaurant was really great, taking care of all our needs and wishes. Last time we stayed here we commented on the lack of any information in English. It was slightly improved, but we still miss some information for non-German speaking guests. Besides this practical detail the hotel is highly recommendable, with a friendly staff - and we know we will be back. We would like to discover the area - and annually we have a self-drive-holiday to UK, but there are currently no ferries from Scandinavia, so.... :-)…
