The Lighthouse Hotel is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. We booked with The River Cruise Line and this was a scheduled overnight stop on our return journey home. We had travelled for many hours and were tired and thirsty. I asked the very pleasant desk Clerk after she had ignored me for a few minutes if...

It was terrible. 2 lifts which can only take 4.. My wife and I were in a party of 66 on our way back to the UK after a cruise. Being thirsty , and mid day, we were thirsty. Obviously wanting a drink we found the Bar. An old lady who could not smile, just said 18..meaning 6pm. We walked...

Stayed here for one night (thankfully) in October as part of a group tour. The hotel still has the Mercure name on the exterior, but is not a member of that chain. Having stayed at many Mercure hotels, this place is certainly not up to Mercure's high standards. Arriving in the mid afternoon, there was nowhere to get a drink...

From chaotic check-in it went downhill. Insufficient bedding in room, had to search for more. Apart from one very sweet girl on reception, the staff were rude, overbearing, shouting at people for being seated in the wrong place in the dining room. As a coach party we were treated like second class citizens.

Never have I been to a hotel that had a front desk policy of lying to guests. Truth - they told at least 3 people in our party that they had air conditioning and it was on. There is NONE. They prop the emergency exit doors open for extra outside air- great! Giving anyone outside access to all floors of...

Terrible, why did I put myself though that again. Definably one too miss. Had to stop in this shambles of a hotel once more while on a business trip and I promise myself I will never do it again. You’re much better off staying in one of the smaller hotels in Lorsch or Heppenhiem which is only a short drive...

Our last night in Germany on our EF Tour had us staying at the Mercury. For some reason the place seemed French to me which makes no sense. Upon check in they told us it is hard to get the doors open; my first attempt no problems at all but then I struggled many other times. WiFi only works in...
