We used this hotel as a mini break and the offer was good for half-board. The food is however all convenience food and the bedrooms are dated. Drinks are all at an extra cost. The waiting staff were nice and friendly but some reception staff were not particularly helpful. The children were happy with the pool which was heated and clean. The bathroom in our room was tiny and very old. The beds are very uncomfortable and the fire door in the corridor slams and in turn rattled our bedroom door and you thought someone was trying to get in. The hotel needs an overhaul. Luckily we spent the entire time exploring the surrounding area.

I have just returned with my wife from this hotel after a 7 nights stay. We landed in this hotel after an overbooking made in Sonnenhotel Eichenbull. After check-in, we went up in the room and surprise: the room was so small that we couldn't open one luggage without closing the other and the room temperature was 15degrees! I went down to the reception to ask them to change the room, but their reply was that they will not change the room because we came from a 3* hotel! (even if it was not our choice, and the rooms in the 3* hotel where far bigger) Next day, finally they changed the room only because they couldn't fix the heat problem. Also,my wife has lactose and gluten allergy. We inform the hotel before booking and they said everything will be ok. When we arrived nobody new anything about this matter. No problem, I asked the person from the reception and the hotel manager to inform the staff about this matter. Of course nothing was done. In the next 3days, I spoke 5 times with the hotel staff, and they just did not care!!! I pulled a list from the net with the products available in a Lidl or Rewe market (like yoghurt, cheese, bread, pasta etc.) and .......nothing! So, for one week she eat only oil soaked vegetables, prepared very bad. The food quality is mediocre to bad(for example I get uncooked fish from the buffet) and made with excessive use of fried oil, and the smell of fried oil is everywhere in the restaurant during the break-fast and dinner. We work in tourism industry and if this happened to us, you shouldn't even come closer to this hotel!
