About

#3 of 13 hotels in Schwäbisch Hall
Hotel Scholl is located in the historic center of Schwäbisch Hall, directly adjacent to St. Michael's church. My family’s home for the last 140 years, I am the third generation to manage this boutique hotel. We aim for a warm, casual, and elegant atmosphere. Our hotel is made up of four historic houses, the eldest of which is more than 550 years old. These protected landmarks have been unified over the years into one hotel. We certainly aren't a cookie-cutter chain hotel. No two of our rooms are alike. Being right in the center of town, paid city parking is available in front of the hotel on a first-come-first-served basis. There are 827 covered parking spaces in two city garages at five minutes walking distance. You can easily drop off you luggage, park the car, and enjoy a short walk through the town to the hotel. Once you're parked Schwäbisch Hall is easily walkable. You won’t need your car. We look forward to having you as our guest. Your host, Christian Scholl

I booked my stay at the last minute for a stay in order to meet an old friend in the area. The single room was located in the front of the building, had bright carpet, a standard twin bed and sizable bathroom. Aside from the street traffic, it was fairly quiet, though the room could use darker shades for those of us light sleepers. Room was clean and the location couldn't be beat, just steps away from the church and all tourist sites within walking distance. You must reserve a time to pick up keys as they do not have a typical front desk during certain times of the day. Also, no breakfast is included. Otherwise a basic, clean and safe stay with average prices for the choices in the area. (April 2019)

Hotel situate at the edge of the old town, next to St. Michael church and just off the main road, so very easily to reach by car. There are parking facilities at the front of the hotel, but as it is a very popular car park one may have difficulties in finding a space. You have to pay from 9 to 5, but then it's free till the following morning at 9 as the hotel gives you a permit to be posted in the car. The hotel is made up by 4 different houses, all connected and with lifts. We had a deluxe junior suite situated just under the roof which was a delight, but not recommended for older guests as the final staircase would present some difficulties for them. Great service, great decor and great ambiance. No breakfast as such, only coffee, croissant, orange juice, but if you don't like that there are plenty of coffee places in town that open very early during the week. All in all a very pleasant experience and one to be repeated.

It is a very nice hotel near the city centre. I had a refurbished room, which was an absolute pleasure. Staff is only a little bit chaotic sometimes. But friendly Parking can be a little bit difficult sometimes But the biggest drawback is the complete lack of breakfast, if this wasn't the case I would give it 5 stars.

Having stayed in various hotels in and around Schwabisch Hall, I thought we would give this one a go. Having stayed so close to the cathedral before, I was a little concerned about the early wake up from the bells. I didn't need to worry, soundproofing is great. We stayed in the penthouse room with its shower in the middle of the room. Its a great room and just a little different. Late check in was well organised and smooth. The rooms clean, the staff very friendly. Breakfast is only light, coffee and croissant but plenty of choice in the town if you want more. Some of the cakes in the coffee shops are amazing, plan time to have coffee and cake. All in all a great location to see the town. Which by the way is a great town to visit, lots of picturesque photo opportunities. Everyone was very friendly were happy to help us non German speaking tourists. The hotel appears to be a number of houses joined together which adds to the appeal of the place as you move through the building. The lift to the top floors fast and quiet. Will stay again on my next visit.

Really funky hotel with wonderfully spacious rooms and great bathrooms. Soundproofing is great, We didn’t hear the cathedral bells! We had a great nights sleep in the comfortable bed. A light breakfast is served downstairs, fresh croissants, coffee, tea etc. Really highly recommend
