We checked in when travelling south, got an okay room with the bed put into the wall, sideways. Made it tricky for one of us to get up without waking the other. Much better room on the way back. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great but pricy parking (€12 per 24h) okay breakfast, excellent location. This is a place you'd want...

Beautifully outfitted, modern, and very clean hotel located in building just behind the Carmelite Cloister. 10 minute walk downhill to Old Town area and discounted parking available in secure lot about 20 yards/meters away. Elevator handy for getting your gear (and yourself) up to your room. We had a corner room on the 2nd floor with a view of the...

The hotel is situated in a converted nunnery and is fitted out in a contemporary style. The welcome at reception was incredibly friendly, with great recommendations for dinner in the city. The rooms were peaceful and simply furnished. In the lobby there was a well stocked honesty bar. The hotel offers a discounted rate at a nearby car park. Everything...

Me and my wife has been there for a night. The location is really beautiful immediately behind the Karmelitan Kloster. The room was a bit too small, but clean and nice. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit noisy because of the old structure where it is hosted. We had a problem with the shower but the day after the receptionist...

Stayed here as two couples for two nights, the hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the old town up a fairly sharp hill which may cause issues for some but we enjoyed the late night stroll back after some of the local beers . Taxi from the train station was €11 each way as it is quite a...

Positive: The location is super, you are right next to the old city, the parking is also available, just mind that it's not free. The room was also very nice. Breakfast was delicious. So the hotel is definitely worth the price. Question mark: What left a big question mark for me was receptionists. We arrived on December 24. I was...

After reading some other reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but parking was not a problem. Checkin went easily. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is pretty awesome. We spent two days walking around Bamberg after leaving our car in the hotel parking area and though we logged over 23 km during those two days I'd still...

While the room was small, it was just fine for me. What really set it apart was the location -- very close to the old city, it has a great view, and it was just kind of cool to stay in a closter/monastery.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Arkaden Hotel im Kloster, and have not been disappointed! Our room was huge and comfortable, the breakfasts outstanding and the staff could not be faulted for efficiency and friendliness. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the cathedral and the city centre.

It was a challenge finding the hotel when we arrived in Bamberg in the early evening. It is a bit off the center of the hilly city. But people we asked on the street were very friendly and helpful. We quickly found a parking spot in front of the hotel. Check-in was efficient. Our room was small but not oppressively...
