I visited Palapas Ventana a couple years ago for a spearfishing tournament and have been trying to go back ever since. I don't normally take the time to write a review, however, Tim's operations is NO KA OI... meaning the absolute best! While I didn't spear a record during the week I was there, I most definitely had the opportunity...

Such a beautiful small family friendly place to stay off the beaten path to enjoy the outdoors and the natural beauty of the area. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful, the rooms are perfect for a get away place to stay, and the adventures are endless. Highly recommend a boat trip out to the island...

First off, my spearfishing experience was top notch. It was obvious from the start that the guide and the captain (Stan and Chewy) know how to put you where the fish are. If, like me, this is your first time trying your hand at bluewater hunting, you can be assured that they will offer whatever advice and assistance necessary to...

We arrived to this place to stay one night but we liked it so much that we stayed a second night. Palapas Ventana is a great place to plan your fishing trips, or to go kitesurfing, they have complimentary kayaks, breakfast and lunch. People there were very friendly. The view of the sea Cortes was just so beautiful, the sunrises...

I can't say enough about Palapas Ventana. By way of background, a buddy and I were looking to go spearfishing for a few days and all we really needed was a place to eat our fish, shower, grab some beers, gain occasional access to wifi, and sleep. The food was incredible. Every meal was substantial, delicious, and cooked with local...

This was the trip of a lifetime for my family. Palapas Ventana's accommodations were fabulous. We stayed in the grey casita. The view was spectacular and the room was very clean and spacious. The food was incredible. Amazing margaritas, phenomenal fish tacos, and a delicious tres leche dessert. The restaurant atmosphere was great. Wonderful people sharing fun stories about the...

Just spent a week at Palapas Ventana with a buddy and can't say enough good things about it. The staff is so wonderful -- friendly, fun, invested in your enjoyment -- that it really makes the stay. The food was fantastic, the location was unbeatable, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and they organized everything for us from Kiteboarding lessons...

This is a wonderful place run by exceptionally friendly and interesting people who have a great staff from various countries around the world. I stayed in the azul casita, which doesn't have a toilet or shower but the communal showers and toilet were close by and always clean. The bed was comfortable and the view from the porch a constant...

My 3rd stay at PV. Spent four days with the wife at PV with my primary goal to spearfish in world class waters. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating, Ruben (the chef) cooked some excellent meals with the fish we speared. PV is without a doubt at the top of my list when it comes to spearfishing in Baja!...

I recently got back from a 13 day stay at Palapas Ventana and this was my second visit to this all-encompassing hotel/restaurant/grill/bar. This isn't a place to stay if you want to be pampered. It's more of a rustic experience although it does have a few modern amenities that make it more comfortable, i.e., WiFi. This is a place to...
