We have stayed at Captain Kirks for many years. It's like a home away from home because of Kitty and Kirk. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The staff are also very friendly and every time we go there are always many new improvements made to further the wonderful experience. In the mornings the guests gather...

Terrific location upwind of playa central means you can stay above the crowd or join the throng. If you are a beginner this means extra long runway down wind. Casitas are cozy and pleasant. Casas are spacious and have all the comforts of home. Breakfast is delicious and lunch is too. The bar is a great anchor for socializing and...

Great service, great kite school, beautifully maintained! Captain Kirk's cultivates a culture of openness and friendliness encouraging guests to share stories and conversations around deliciously prepared breakfasts. Come with a family, friends or by yourself, you'll have an enjoyable experience no matter what. The addition of Pelican Reef's rooftop bar area and regular happy hours caps off your great day....

Spent a relaxing Spring Break here. Casita Suenos was lovely, clean with timely housekeeping; coffee ready at 7.30 to start your day followed by a yummy home-cooked breakie with a beautiful view over the bay. Kirk and kiteboard instructor, Adam, are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area, kite launch , run and bike trails. Having breakfast available is a...

At first, I was wondering what am I going to do there? The village is so small! Well I loved it. The owners are wonderful people and very helpful. I found very good restaurants at Mexican price. If you want to learn how to kite or just to enjoy the view or just to relax, it's the place to be....

A fantastic facility with a variety of accommodation options and great access to kiteboarding and windsurfing. Staff, owners and guests were all fantastic! The partnership with neighbour Pelican Reef added the bonus of a ocean view bar and lunch spot. Great daily yoga! Paddle boards! Last minute, we managed to get a kite board lesson and rental of high end...

Discovered La Ventana in an Internet search and decided immediately to go there, as it was maybe the only ocean spot on a paved road I hadn't seen in Baja Sur. When we arrived at Captain Kirk's, Pam and Chris, the summer caretakers, apologized for the town only being about half-open, as the place only fills up for the winter...

The unit we were staying in was going to be getting upgraded in the near future so there were a few maintenance items in need of repair. We were almost out off Wi-Fi range, too. No tv.. But that's ok for sure. We loved the breakfasts in the a.m. used the kayaks and had good family time Kirk was very...

“Every room is probably great - my casitas was the farthest up the hill from the beach, and still it felt close and all was great, so probably the casitas even closer to the beach are even better - so, it seems like you can't go wrong with any room you get here! All rooms seemed quiet and gorgeous.”
