Kiloran and her beautiful yellow labradors Gigha and Ailsa made us feel so welcome during our weeks stay here. Wren House is a delightful Bed and Breakfast, located in a peaceful village hidden away from the main road. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and the pubs recommended by Kiloran are superb for eating out in the evening....

It was a pleasure to have you, Heike and Doreen to stay, Paul. I much enjoyed hearing about your parts of the world and sharing jokes over breakfast and I am so glad you were comfortable. Interesting guests make this job fun. How extraordinary that Dresden popped up its head in so many ways. A place I will definitely visit.

We spent two really enjoyable nights at Wren House. Our room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed, a kettle and the makings for coffee and tea provided. The bathroom next door was clean, elegant and with a great shower. Kiloran is a great hostess, ably assisted by Catarina when Kiloran had to be away for one of the...

I very much enjoyed meeting you and thank you for your understanding of my need to attend a family funeral. Caterina is, indeed, a great assistant. I look forward to seeing you here again.

We stayed here again for our nearby Longborough Festival Opera experience (also very enjoyable). Wren House and Kiloran (and her lovely labradors) were as delightful as ever, with the garden resplendent and blooming beautifully, a joy of subtle colour, form and tasteful planting. We stayed in the Honeysuckle Room, clean and comfortable, with good views over the Cotswolds countryside, and...

Nestled away just outside the beautiful town of Stow-on-the-Wold, with easy parking and two beautiful dogs to greet you. This B and B is the Best; the first impression of inspired attention to design and detail in the garden continues inside where the lovely fabrics, ornaments, paintings, ceramics and furniture take guests on another diverting journey. The atmosphere is relaxed; comfortable beds with soft cotton sheets, a snug lounge and a range of magazines and books better than any...

We had a wonderful stay at The Granary, beautiful location, accommodation and facilities. Kiloran has provided everything visitors might possibly need, all spotless and in good condition. Everything worked. Idyllic village with beautiful views, wonderful private courtyard surrounded by flowering shrubs and dry stone walls, great for outdoor eating in summer, complete with barbecue. Lots of information provided about great...

We loved the Granary cottage. Tucked into the grounds of Wren House, it was marvelous to 'come home to' after our travels - about 750 miles - in the Cotswolds and beyond. For the week we were there, we felt as we had all the comforts and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely book again. We fell in love...

We stayed in the Granary Cottage for a week in end July 2013. As a famlily with a 12 months old boy, we found the self-catering cottage perfect for our requirements, fully equipped, nice books, no china on display that can be broken by a toddler, doors (e.g. to stairs) can be properly closed. Apart from the terrace, which has...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wren House Bed and Breakfast is a charming 15th-century house in the small and peaceful hamlet of Donnington barely two miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. There are three double bedrooms and three dedicated bathrooms, one en suite, each with large and very comfortable (everyone says so!) kingsize beds and feather duvets. This is the private home of Mrs. Kiloran McGrigor and her two yellow Labradors opened up to staying guests. It has a beautiful south-facing garden, and all rooms overlook it, in which guests are invited to sit and, if fine, breakfast is served al fresco. Breakfasts are sumptuous affairs - lots of fruit, cereals, juice and yoghurt and full cooked breakfast if guests wish. Conversation round one table can be entertaining and stimulating. Next to Wren House is a self-catering cottage for two under the same ownership. Guests at the cottage can enjoy all day access and their own secluded garden so this works best for longer stays. ... more   less
