So we came to the wooden hut which is lovely. This is a great place to visit with kids! Pay attention - the wooden huts share a small yard with another hut. Not very private, we didn’t care :) Pros: - the hut is pretty spacious, has a yard, master bed and another small room with 2 beds. - each hut has a balcony and a small garden which was nice. - breakfast during covid day was amazing! They pack it all so you can take it to a picnic, and it was all delicious. Cons: - for a price of 1300 nis per night I would expect to: - have some better maintenance of the hut - better cleaning (mold in the corners of the bath) - when we ask for extra coffee not hear “we are understaffed, can you come and get it?” - We had to ask for a broom - never got it Overall we had a very good experience, and we would probably come back, but not for this price. This is a price we pay for a 5 star hotel around the world. …
The Ramot Resort is located on a beautiful piece of land. I assume when there is no COVID that access to the pool and other facilities on their property makes this an amazing place to stay. Though we loved our room, the landscape around us and the general area, the hotel is obviously not truly set-up to handle the COVID situation. We stayed for four days. As the cafeteria is closed, food is delivered to your room. To start with, the overall quality of the food was pretty dismal for such an expensive hotel. Perhaps consulting with a nutritionist would have helped. Also, there was no place to eat in our room. We dragged in the table, which was super small, from the porch. We had our kids and grandkids over for Shabbat and there was no place for all of us. Also, there was no place to heat up your meal. We did bring a hot plate, but you would think they would have had something. There were almost no dishes or utensils either. In addition, one would think that at least a broom and a dustpan would be provided so that one could clean-up each day. Nope. What was really amazing was that the front desk deserted the place from Friday night until Sunday. There were literally no dedicated people working there and fill-in security staff, who really are devoid of understanding of what customers need, were left in charge. Really? That was one of the most unprofessional things I have ever seen. Finally, we had to move some things in the room and could not believe how dirty the room was. It was disgusting, to say the least. Hey, I know they are trying and that in these very difficult times we should be grateful to have such wonderful places. However, let people know in advance that a skeletal staff will be left in charge and that you should bring your own plates, utensils and tables if you wish to eat in your room.…
We stayed overnight in a cabin. The staff was friendly- all wearing masks. The cabin was very clean with the extra amenity of a hygiene box which included masks, alcogel and gloves. Grounds are immaculate and the pool crystal clear. Breakfast was lovely and delicious. All guests were required to wear masks and gloves.
We spent the day visiting the Golan Heights and decided to stay over in this gorgeous hotel. The room is lovely, they have a great swimming pool. The buffet breakfast offered everything you could wish for and more. We will def return here
My husband and I arrived on Wednesday, Feb. 5, towards evening, for a one night stay. We had stayed at Ramot with our two grown children a few years ago and had a very good experience, both with the rooms and the food. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot, and the view of the Kinneret from our window is wonderful. The room seemed fine, though a bit run down and the faucet in the bathroom sink needed to be operated with a bit of force. Dinner was the major let down, with a great variety of food, but the emphasis was on quantity rather than quality. Many of the entrees as well as the raw vegetables were dry and unappealing. On the brighter side the service in the dining room was excellent and personalized, as there were not too many guests at the hotel. Right before going to sleep we found a hair in our sheets, and it was obviously not one of ours, which was unpleasant. Breakfast was better than dinner, though again not all of the cheeses were fresh and some of the salads/vegetables were clearly recycled from the previous evening. Again, the service was lovely. We were sorry to see that the hotel had gone downhill since our last visit, and hope that perhaps this situation can be remedied in the future. I would not return unless I heard that it had improved.…
