This is the second time we have spent christmas and new year in Le Gets and it is the second time we have chosen to stay at the Alpina ( we also stayed in December 2018/andJjan 2019)The Hotel is excellent for families. The food is first absolutely first rate and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is ideally located and you can ski to and from the Hotel and leave your skis in the ski locker. It is not the cheapest hotel in town, but it is great value for money if you stay half board. The breakfasts and dinners are delicious.

I have been coming to the Alpina every year for over 25 years now and can easily say that it is one of the best hotels in the world. It is a family run establishment by the incredible Fabienne & Pierre who are hands on and oversee the staff from day to day. The food at the Alpina, headed by Chef Pierre is simply Michelin level - some of the best food in the world. The rooms are cozy and clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. Once you visit the Alpina in Les Gets, you too will want to come back every year.

This is the third time that we have returned because of the great location, good amenities, wonderful ambience and the food is delicious. Dinner was way above expectations, breakfast is one of the best we have ever had in a skiing hotel. My son and family stay in this hotel year after year and they recomended this place to us, what a find!
Many rooms are all refurbished to a high standard and tastefully decorated. The swimming pool and new Hydro Spa are simply heaven. The bar and restaurant are comfortable with great service. We also had our 9 year old grandson with us and he loves the kids' room which is not far from the bar area, so you can have a drink while kids are playing happily.
All the staff that we came into contact with, from the reception to the restaurant to the bar staff were all super prepared, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, anything we asked for they did their absolute best to deliver.

Definitely be returning as soon as we can!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alpina, very friendly welcome on arrival everything about the hotel explained and shown to our room. Room was lovely with balcony, TV with some English channels, lots of storage space and good sized bathroom with a really great shower. Breakfast had a really good selection to suit all tastes and as for dinner it was outstanding every night, the dessert buffet was a joy to come down to each evening. Storage for skis and boots at side of hotel and it's only a minutes walk and you're onto the piste, if lucky with the snow can ski right to ski room at night. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for a week in Jan 23 whilst skiing. It was a fantastic experience. The room and hotel common areas were tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, and the staff were all first rate. The food was very good, but for us personally, the meat was not as well cooked as we would ordinarily have it. This was easily resolved once we learnt the French for 'well done' :) This didn't however detract from the dining experience over the week. The hotel is well situated for the slopes and a few minutes walk into the village. The spa was also a nice bonus, allowing us to relax after a day's skiing. We would definitely recommend Hotel Alpina.

We stayed for 6nights with children (10y & 12y) in late March 23. What a fabulous option for us! We were in room #206 with a queen bed in one room & bunk bed section in another. The new sauna/steam/pool area is FABULOUS! Options at breakfast are great. Our room very comfy, VERY clean. Only thing I would recommend is more hooks/shelves for people that are staying for quite a few nights. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Balcony with fab views where we kept our groceries like a fridge. Location is brilliant for getting to slopes/lessons or into town for supermarket/restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a base for three days skiing in the Morzine valley. Hotel Alpina ticked all the boxes. Clean, smart, well located, friendly staff and great service. The reception staff were very helpful, speaking in French when we wanted to and switching to English when we had clearly stretched ourselves too far! From booking taxis to recommending ski hire and restaurants they were faultless. The rooms themselves were spotless and all with fantastic views. The breakfast was one of the best I have enjoyed in a hotel. Dozens of different fresh pastries, lots of other options including; scrambled eggs and bacon, cold meat and cheeses, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, coffee etc...
All in all I would highly recommend this great value high quality establishment.

Good:
Very nice decorated rooms
Good location next to the ski slopes
Good food, especially the breakfast
Barman is very friendly

Bad:
Some people of the staff are really unfriendly (especially the wife of the owner)

If you book through a travel company, you are regarded as second class, compared to guests who booked directly at the hotel. This results for example in reserved tables for these guests and no more place to sit for you. You also have cheaper paper napkins than guests that booked directly with the hotel.

We also had several times that the table cloth was not clean and they even didn't want to change it when we asked.

I'm sorry but I didn't notice. I thought the food was sophisticated for a 3* and very good but it might be a challenge to keep them happy for a whole week for example! The tartiflette was delicious. Breakfast was not a problem for kids with a huge choice.
