Just spent yet another fantastic week at the Altitude Lodge in Les Gets. Lovely room with great view to the ski slope, fantastic food and wonderful staff. Literally ski in ski out. Nothing is too much trouble. Great for singles, couples family and groups of friends. Great to be woken up at 7:30 each morning with a cup of tea.

Had a fab family ski holiday here. Right on the slopes so perfect for me who is a beginner as they were all blue/green runs. Lovely rooms & staff & food. The area suits all levels as my husband & children are excellent skiers. Short transport from the airport (1 hour) & the hot tub & sauna were a nice feature.

Just returned from Altitude Lodge in Les Gets in the French alps. This hotel opens throughout the summer season and is the perfect location to explore the mountains of the porte de soleil area. The accommodation is first class and the food is sublime. Ronnie the chef and his helpers Murray and Pia made us all extremely welcome from the moment we set foot in the hotel. Ronnies food is to die for, I have never had food of this quality on a summer holiday before. Altitude Lodge is an absolute gem in a stunning location. I would thoroughly recommend it for a summer break. Well done VIP Chalets.......brilliant holiday!!

We have loved coming here for the last 4 years - it’s always been amazing! The location is perfect, the rooms very comfortable, the food is lovely but what has always stood out has been the service - it’s been second to non!
This time this is what is letting it down. The staff are lovely but I don’t think they have been trained well. They are very reactive to concerns but don’t anticipate them. For example at breakfast the porridge and scrambled eggs arrive together? The food is nice but often cold. Hot breakfast takes an age to come (45 min) once ordered.( so if you have ski school you have to eat quickly or you’re late. At afternoon tea we all had to keep asking for more hot water, tea bags etc. At dinner there is a large gap between courses (the main can be served at 2130) after along day skiing having desert and coffee at 1030 is rather late...
We tried to feedback whilst there but it did not really have much effect and after coming here and loving it, we along with a number of ‘returners’ are thinking again - which is a shame for a lack of training.

Ate agsin here this year while on a ski trip. Restaurant is tired looking. So is the menu. Food was not piping hot and not as well presented as in other years. Really hope it can improve as it is in an excellant location at bottom of the slopes

For all skiers who for years have been enjoying the best hot chocolate in Morzine-Les Gets it is no more!! VIP have chosen to close their public restaurant at Altitude Lodge in the Chavannes area of Les Gets. This is tragic news for all of us who have relied on the happy service from the staff particularly in bad weather.
It might be ok for guests staying there but the ski season won’t be the same.

A nicely positioned restaurant right at the bottom of the chavanne lift. The burger was delightful and the service was very good. There are lots of good mountain restaurants in Les gets and this is certainly very good. Not the best, but certainly worth stopping for a quick lunch.

An absolute must for lunch. Amazing food- we had the plat du jour and a pulled pork sandwich. Amazing views, English staff- brilliant service.
Book if you can as always busy, but they regulate the number of tables and bookings to keep service and standards to a high level, which is much better than some of the other very fast food and expensive restaurants on the slopes.

A fantastic experience staying in the lodge being looked after by Ronnie and team. They couldn't do enough for us, from tailoring meals and even layout to helping us organise ents. We got to meet the Regional Manager, Emily, who was equally friendly and helpful. This was a Summer break but if the same ethos exists in Winter then go anytime - recommended.
