Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Probably the best hotel in Les Gets. We have stayed at the Labrador Residence before when it was part of the hotel but this is the first time in the main hotel. We have stayed at another hotel in Les Gets but unfortunately that has lost its edge. The rooms are a good size modern bathroom and traditional character in bedroom area. The staff here are excellent friendly and helpful unlike our previous hotel where staff left us waiting 25 minutes to order a drink despite three of them being at the bar. The facilities are exceptional with an indoor pool, exercise equipment and sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. In the evening you can swim outside heated outdoor pool. They have an excellent chef who produces excellent selection of food, a couple of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. The meals at the top end restaurant quality. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel with its friendly homely ambiance. It’s a short walk to chair lift or bus stops 50 metres from hotel to catch free bus. If you’re are looking for somewhere to stay in Les Gets even if you are a non-skier this is the place to be without a doubt. My wife said it was the best ski holiday she has ever had.

Staying here during Tour de France for 2 days. Amazing stay, great hosts, food was awesome, with many selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wine selection is outstanding. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. All the staff made sure that we felt comfortable .

Le Labrador has just reopened under new ownership. We had a really comfortable stay and the staff all worked hard to make sure that we were well looked-after. The location is perfect, tucked in the mountains of the Portes de Soleil and in the pretty village of Les Gets. The meals were generous and tasty, the pool area clean and comfortable and the rooms spotless and well-equipped. I slept like a baby and hope to return before too long.

Absolutely great hotel! Very cozy atmosphere, excellent service, delicious breakfast. Large room with balcony. The room has everything you need for your stay. It was the first time here, but definitely not the last one.

We just checked out after staying at Le Labrador for 8 days; one week in an apartment and last night in the hotel. We loved the warm, hospitable staff who were genuinely friendly and helpful. The apartment is great and contains anything you might need. Their generous breakfast is a truly joyous start of the day, and make sure to have dinner at the restaurant - old school hearty French dishes and a good wine list. Make sure to have some Cote de Boeuf grilled in front of you in the fire place! We have a hard time recognizing any of the negative points listed in the reviews below, our apartment felt like a sauna if anything :-) Merci encore tout l’equipe - Jan & Joop

After searching for accommodation for our ski holiday to Les Gets the Le Labrador hotel seemed like the perfect choice. I booked a weeks stay for a week at the beginning of March 2020. My wife and I arrived early evening and were shown to our apartment, immediately we voiced our concerns that the room was cold and the radiators were on full, I later discovered that the heating is controlled by the hotel so the room does not have an adjustable thermostat so you have no control. It warmed up eventually but not a good start. We then found the rubbish bin was full from the previous guests, not what you would expect from a 4 star, and the response from the young lady in reception was these things happen not an apology that would have helped. There are no power plugs by the beds so as to charge your phone which is very frustrating in this modern age. The bathroom is very small, it has the smallest bath that I have ever seen Then the worst thing is the noise from other guests, it is like they are continually moving furniture about. I have never stayed anywhere as noisy as this hotel it is unbelievable. There are some positives, the beds are comfortable and the apartment is well kitted out with everything that you need. The shower has plenty of hot water and the views are fantastic from the balcony. So that wraps up my review, a disappointing hotel/apartment that could be so much better with a little care and extra attention to detail

We are staying in apartment 8. Very cold on arrival. You’d have thought they would ensure the room was warm on our arrival. No sockets in bedroom to charge phone apart from lamp. Tiniest bathroom and bath we had ever seen. The enjoyment of soaking in the tub after a days skiing was impossible unless you were a child. It is also very dated. The kitchen bin had not been emptied from previous guests and when we spoke to the receptionist about this she replied ‘these things happen’....imagine our disgust. Is this a 4 star attitude? Beautiful views but apartment far from cozy. Rude receptionist. We stay in Les Gets every year but will not return here. An unapologetic front of house is very off putting. The unrelaxing bathroom/tub a real negative.

Loved this place. The staff are super welcoming and friendly. Rooms are very comfy, great beds, and very very quiet. It was super warm and cosy, returning from a day skiing; lockers by the door, boot warmers, wood fire where they serve tea and cake daily, lovely sauna/hottub/steam room .... it was fab. Breakfast was lovely. Decor and ambience is super comfy, traditional French style, lots of Alpine themes, very traditional rather than modern chic, but stylish nonetheless. We had a very relaxing few days.

Another excellent stay in this lovely friendly hotel. We have stayed elsewhere in Les Gets but the rooms have always been noisy. The breakfast is excellent and everything was very fresh. The ladies at breakfast were lovely.

I can totally recommend Le Labrador. Central location, relatively convenient for lifts and facilities. We stayed in a family room which was modest but very comfortable. The staff are welcoming, obliging, professional and went out of their way to help and advise. My I would happily, indeed look forward, to a further stay.
