Detailed Reviews
From the moment we arrived at Chamois D'Or, the friendliest and yet the professionalism from Emily, Faye, the manager - Jacinta and the owner Pete was outstanding. It was impossible to get a restaurant reservation for New Year's Eve, however there was no problem in Chamois D'Or. Pete suggested to us to get pizzas and they organised napkins, plates etc. No request was a problem and their 'Can Do Attitude' is fantastic. All the staff really do surpass themselves with their brilliant customer service.
The decor and style of this hotel is gorgeous, super clean, modern yet very cosy and relaxing. After a hard day skiing its so relaxing to use the Jacuzzi and Steam room. The Ski slopes are only a few minutes walk away from the hotel and been able to leave the skis in the ski shop was great.
From our initial booking, to the assistance with airport transfers, the greeting on arrival, ski hire shop recommendation, lift pass purchasing and restaurant reservations, they couldn't have been more helpful. My son lost his iphone on the slopes and Emily was so very helpful putting a post on facebook and contacting the tourist office to notify the ski lifts. His iphone was found and returned to him the next day.
We have recommended Chamois D'Or to our friends who are going to Les Gets in February as we know they will have a ball there and we will certainly returning next year. Roll on December 2020!!

We stayed in early Jan as a family with young children. This is a very well located hotel only a short distance from the centre and the slopes. Very well appointed throughout with a modern and fresh decor and considerable thought has been put into the style and layout of the rooms and bar reception area. A really great team of young staff who were all engaged, friendly and enthusiastic about their role and ever present and hands on owners who really care about their customers and hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. The spa and pool were excellent after a day on the slopes. This hotel really have an eye for detail and as someone who stays in hotels all over the world on a weekly basis, they have got it just right. The house keeping service including turn down was faultless and the breakfast offering superb. An excellent hotel in every respect which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

We came in, 4 of us some in ski gear. We had our 7 month old with us who needed a bottle sterilising. The hotel owner was extremely nice and sterilised the bottle himself.
The service was quick and pleasant in a warm environment physically and decoratively.
Would go in again, extremely friendly people.

Just back from 4 days skiing in Les Gets staying in the Chamois D’or. It was my first time in the resort and I would highly recommend it. The village is beautiful and Les Gets offers skiing for all levels and is a gateway to the huge ski area of Avoriaz. As for the hotel - it was brilliant. I stayed with a friend (on her fifth visit to the Chamois!). The owner Pete is on site to make sure all your needs are catered for and always goes the extra mile. We stayed in one of the brand new rooms which are of a really high standard ( Oh and the coat hook issue as mentioned in another review was reported to Pete and one appeared on day one!). The food at the hotel’s newly opened Indian restaurant Baaji is delicious and good value. All of the staff, led by the constantly upbeat and ultra professional Ernesto, are super friendly and make you feel part of the place. Thank you to everyone (Charles, Hugo, Clara and Harmony). Will
Definitely be back.

Unfortunately due to the Covid 19 virus our hotel in Italy cancelled on us with no costs, I then booked rooms in Chamois D'Or. This was a hotel I had stayed at a few years earlier, it's in a great spot, easy to walk to the ski lifts, the centre of town and a smart, clean well run hotel with comfy beds. When I enquired about availability they said the resort was fully open, the snow was good and importantly they confirmed that should the resort close a refund for the full amount paid would be processed. Unfortunately for us and the tourists / staff at the hotel the resort was shut down. However Ilze at the hotel stayed in contact with us and offered to rebook our stay for the following season, using the money paid against the next stay. Plus a discount off next years rates or we could have a full refund. My initial thoughts were to rebook as I know the hotel, its perfectly located and a lovely place to stay in Les Gets. Unfortunately due to kids exams next year our dates were limited so we opted for a full refund. This was processed promptly and Ilze kept in regular contact.
Other friends have not been so fortunate with hotels, who were unwilling to refund the money paid.
Not only is the hotel nicely decorated and furnished, close to the ski lifts, has a spa , good breakfast , bar and restaurant. It also has excellent staff and an honourable aproach to looking after their guests.
I wish them all well and look forward to returning to the hotel for another trip.

Conveniently located just five minutes walk from the main ski lifts and the town centre, the hotel is modern and very comfortable. It benefits from a relaxing spa, good bar and provides a plentiful, good quality breakfast. The greatest asset however, are the staff. The atmosphere they create is genuinely welcoming and friendly The front of house staff, Ernesto, Emily and Faye were exceptional. Always on hand to help and give advice on everything including lift passes, external restaurant bookings, transport and more. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them

I’ve just returned from my 5th stay at the Chamois d’Or in Les Gets, and it is better than ever!
The hotel itself is in a great location, a short walk to the bottom of the main lifts. Boots/skis can be left at Sport 2000 (Chamois’ ski hire partner). The style and decor is eclectic and cozy, the rooms are beautifully decorated with super comfy beds.
The food is exceptional. Lovely breakfast and, in the evening, the newly opened Baaji Indian restaurant is a great option - tasty authentic food and excellent service. Don’t go home without eating here! Also don’t leave without having one of Clara’s Irish Coffees at the bar!
One of the best things about the Chamois is the lovely relaxed vibe and this is entirely due to its people. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as perfect as possible. The owner, Pete is the ultimate host - always around to make sure everything is ok and Ernesto, the manager, is simply the best! Thank you all, especially Pete, Ernesto, Hugo, Charles, Clara and Harmony - see you next year!

Just back from a 4 night break with my 16 year old son and so pleased we chose this hotel for our trip. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Despite our early arrival, our room was ready so it was a great relief to be able to jump into our ski stuff without worrying about leaving the cases etc.
The room was immaculate with a lovely view and was perfect for the two of us. Anyone a little taller than 6 ft could get cold feet though, the single beds are not the biggest but were fine for us.
We took advantage of the lovely spa every evening. The pool is the perfect temperature to relax those tired leg muscles and there's plenty of treatments available.
We dined in Baaji one of the nights. Great food.
My only little niggle was the "cooked breakfast". It consisted of 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage and a couple of eggs. I'm conscious it's not advertised as a "full English" but it did feel a little scrimpy if I'm honest. it was nicely cooked but looked a little sorry for itself in the middle of the plate. Just one minor point amongst a raft of positives though.
The major selling point of this place is the staff and the effort they go to. They are a credit to hotel and I'd definitely return here... in a heart beat. It's perfectly positioned for the lifts and Les Gets centre. The Chavannes Lift is 2 minutes walk.
Thanks for an amazing stay and look forward to staying again.

A few things had changed since we last visited 2 years ago and our stay was better for them. The addition of the fantastic Baaji Indian restaurant, an excellent breakfast menu and a cosy re-modelled reception / bar area. The level of service was excellent, the basement spa a welcome place to relax at the end of the day and our bedrooms quiet and comfortable. We stayed in room 15 on the first floor above the bar which was surprisingly quiet and our kids stayed in one of the new rooms which have been nicely kitted out with some mod cons like USB ready plugs. It looks like a few more new rooms are being created for next season too. A great stay - thank you.

Excellent choice of hotel. Great staff, relaxed atmosphere, lovely breakfast. Discount at the nearby Sport 2000 on ski equipment, which can be left in locker to save schlepping them back to hotel. The bar is cosy and well stocked - we will definitely be back.

We are located 5 minutes flat walk from the main lifts, with skiing Les Gets and linked to Portes du Soleil. Also town centre with restaurants, shops and bars is only few minutes walk, so normally you wouldn't need a car as access is very easy!
We would reccommend flying in our closest airport Geneva with only 1 h 15 min commute to resort.
We do not offer shuttle service ourselves, but can recommend an excellent local company.
