Detailed Reviews
We had a week at Chasse Montagne during UK half term. The room was lovely with views down the valley.
The hoetls recomendation of ski hire was great and they delivered and picked up our skis from the hotel.
The food was great each day and the menu du jour was good each day. The boot room was great with plenty of boot warmers and a ski jacket drier, which was useful for the one rainy day we had.
We found the staff helpful, notably the two female Waiters and the outside barman with the beard. Allways saying hello and asking us how our day had been.
We also found the two owners friendly and helpful, particlularly when our son had an accident and had to be in Hospital for two nights.
The lunch meals were also good and when the sun was out the terrace during half term was a popular place. And we did not experience the food delays that others have mentioned.
Add to that the valley view from the Jacuzzi is spectacular. We definitely want to come back and would recomend it to anyone.

The hotel is a 7 minute drive up from Les Gets so a car is very handy although there is a bus service. The bar/restaurant area is brilliant and we used it a lot, for breakfast, one dinner and apres ski. All the big football, rugby and F1 events could be watched too. It would be ski in/out if there was enough snow although it was only a 50 yard walk to the piste. The outside terrace has lovely views. Breakfast buffet was OK, nothing special. Our room, for 5, was a bit cramped over two floors. Two bathrooms but only one toilet which was tricky at times.
There's a boot room with warmers and a sperate ski hut plus a luggage room with a shower/toilet, Overall not bad at all!

My wife and I got out of Paris for a long weekend for our first trip to Les Gets. The Lodge and the staff were fantastic. It is a family run location and they certainly make you fee like family. The restaurant was excellent and the location is perfect for either a summer or winter trip. We look forward to visiting again for a ski trip.

The delayed review is because we don’t usually write reviews as hotels we have stayed in have the correct star rating in our experience.
When I checked the star rating for this hotel recently I felt it was completely wrong and so I needed to write a review.
The rooms looked nice but there was a stale, strong smell of urine in the bathroom.
No heating and hot water on the second day. We only found this out after a day skiing when we walked past the owner at reception, said Hello then went to have a shower. After standing under a cold shower I ran downstairs to ask what was wrong & then she decided to say the boiler had broken down that morning. Rooms were very cold too but no warning or apology.
Tried to use the hot tub the next day but it was too cold. Asked the owner why this was & he said it’s been used too much. I pointed out that I’d booked the hotel mainly because it had a hot tub so would it be hot enough tomorrow and his wife told me that they had to think of the environment. She went on to say that French people considered environmental issues but English people obviously didn’t.
The next day the heat was on & we used it & took in the lovely view.
The following day with aching legs from skiing we tried again but it was cold again. When we asked if we could use it as our legs were aching & I was a beginner skier, the owner laughed at me. He then began to raise his voice and say it was broken & we should accept that this happens.
The food on the all inclusive menu was very limited so we chose to change to B&B only. The food generally was ok but overpriced. There are many excellent Restaurants in town so we had to drive down the mountain each night for much better food.
WiFi worked occasionally especially when we kept asking..most days it was down.
The owners and one member of staff were miserable and rude. At one point we were the only residents in the hotel so it wasn’t due to stress from being busy. Just a bad atmosphere with unhappy and irritable owners.
One waitress thankfully was very friendly.
Les Gets is lovely but the hotel was a bad experience so we definitely won’t go back.

We have visited this restaurant every year now for the last 5 years during our holiday to Les Gets. The first time was absolutely amazing - everything about it however each year it has become less and less of a treat. Today was downright awful. If it wasn’t for the stunning views there would be no other reason to come again. The food was mediocre at best and the staff including the owners were unwelcoming, arrogant and downright rude. We had to wait absolutely ages to be seated, to get a menu, to order and every time we tried to get the attention of someone we were either totally ignored or responded to with impatience. The food was just about ok but the pudding was returned as stale - the lady owner would not accept it and was unbelievably rude!! We won’t bother eating here again it’s such a shame!

The Good - lovely hotel, very homely and cosy and just what we wanted for a long weekend ski trip. Clean rooms which just about fit 4 people. Outdoor Jacuzzi was amazing looking onto the ski slopes and mountains (shame there is no sauna or pool). Great ski in which was perfect after a long day snowboarding 🏂
The Bad - the food was really poor. Waited 55 minutes for our meal. €40 for a fillet steak that was full of fat and tasteless. Once we mentioned it to the waitress the shrugged her shoulders and took the plate away. We then spoke to the boss (husband & wife) who didn’t believe anything we told them, said he would go and look into it with the kitchen and never returned. The attitude on 80% of the staff was just rude and arrogant. I know the french are known for being rude but this took it to another level.
Overall an up & down stay - has it’s good and bad things but for the price I would look elsewhere for my next stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights this week (Mid Feb).
We really wanted to like it. The hotel itself is nice and stylish and has a certain charm. However:
Location: Average
Food: Terrible
Service: Awful/Rude
Also poor quality WIFI and television has no English channels.
But hey it has ski in and ski out and a Jacuzzi with great views.
If your flights late and you ski in be prepared to not shower. No changing facilities.
Would I stay here again or recommend it. No I’m sorry I wouldn’t.
5/10 overall rating

Beautiful setting with an amazing view of the mountains.
The staff are friendly and quick and the food was of good quality.
A perfect place for a long relaxing lunch post a heavy morning skiing. They accommodate big groups, you just need to book in advance.

We have had such a lovely afternoon after a great day skiing in Les Gets and arriving at the restaurant La Chasse Montagne. We got it recommended and it lived up to the expectations. Above and beyond, the view was spectacular. We arrived just after closing the kitchen, but Lucy our amazing waitress made sure we could still stay and have a wonderful lunch. The hospitality has been amazing. Thank you, and I would recommend it to everyone on their ski holiday.
