Detailed Reviews
Just spent a fabulous week at Chalet Fontana where Jill and Ian were the perfect hosts.
Friendly, welcoming yet professional hosts.
Accommodation spotlessly clean with ensuite bedrooms.
Cosy log fire for those less adventurous and hot tub for the star gazers.
Quality and variety of the meals were of an exceptionally high standard and absolutely delicious. Clean plates every evening. Will be contacting in the near future for some of the recipes.
Slightly out of town, which suited us, but on a circular free shuttle bus route into town which was very reliable. Ian very kindly took us into Les Gets daily in time to get first ski lift for ski school.
Easy access to beautiful mountain walks and countryside.
Thank you for a lovely few days in your stunning chalet and for making us so welcome. Many happy memories.

Les Get with its traditional alpine chalets is both picturesque and compact. Getting around the village is very easy and the bus to get back to chalet Fontana on Ian and Gill's well deserved day off is both free and frequent. The skiing is excellent with plenty of pistes for all capabilities, and there were rarely any queues for the lifts.
Chalet Fontana was a wonderfully welcoming retreat after a fantastic day's skiing. Relaxing, warm and sufficiently out of the village to be peaceful without being remote.
Ian and Gill are the perfect hosts, always helpful, never intrusive, and very friendly. When we had finished skiing for the day, Ian would arrive in short order to take us back to Chalet Fontana where freshly baked cakes, vin chaud and the warm waters of the outdoor jacuzzi awaited.
Gill's cooking is truly excellent. With a number of rather fussy eaters in our party, we lost track of the number of times "Yes!" was uttered when food was brought to the table. The highlight of the week of course was Christmas dinner which was just perfect, with all the accompaniments you would expect, including crackers! The adults will remember the toffee vodka for a long time.
If you want a relaxing retreat in a resort with fantastic skiing and with brilliant hosts, Chalet Fontana is perfect...just don't tell anyone, it's our secret!!

Having enjoyed an amazing first ski holiday at the chalet last year we returned with friends hoping for an equally fun and relaxing week. We were not disappointed as Ian and Gill are such welcoming hosts and make the whole experience so relaxing.
They are always keen to know how your day was on the slopes and then ply you with copious amounts of fantastic food and drink! Early evening under the stars in the hot tub is an idyllic way to unwind and the vin chaud appears magically.
Ian and Gill have found the right formula for giving their guests a wonderful holiday.

If you're looking for all the boxes to be ticked, then you can with Chalet Fontana !
First time to Les Gets and Fontana -Brilliant. The hosts Ian & Gill are fantastic. The chalet is in a great position, beautiful views and is extremely spacious. Ian and Gill can't do enough for you and nothing is too much hassle. Their cooking is magnificent !!! Having not stayed in a 'catered chalet' before, this was a first for us. But WOW - This will be repeated. Our children were looked after so well too - first class. Great to meet like minded people, who let us know so much about the local area and which ski runs to try. We could not have asked for more. The children loved the hot-tub, of which was great at night, even when it was snowing.
My only regret, is that we did not stay for another week !

Never stayed in a catetered chalet before but we couldn't have been looked after any better. The food is restaurant quality but its in your own chalet with a roaring fire and fantastic company from the hosts. The hosts somehow manage that balance of being friendly, helpful and approachable but you still feel like you've got the place to yourself. Their flexibility in helping us with the kids was such a bonus. The hot tub is an amazing experience and each day we were like kids we were so excited about the pre-meal fizzy drinks !
With the euro rate being poor the value for money worked out so well.
I almost want to keep the place a secret but that's not fair on Ian+Gill.
Bring on our third stay in 2012.

Hosts Ian and Gill go that extra mile (literally) to make sure that everything you need is catered for. From excellent food to hair straighteners in the rooms! Although situated on the outskirts of the village they are on call to drop you off and collect you day or evening. This and collection and drop off at Geneva meant that hiring a car was unneccessary. The weather in Les Gets was poor one day so Ian drove us to Avoriaz and was willing to collect us at the end of the day although we took advantage of the excellent free bus service back to Morzine. After taking in some apres ski they where on hand to collect us before dinner!

This is our second stay at chalet Fontana . With a group of friends. The chalet hosts Helen and Mike were fantastic and really added to the relaxed holiday feeling. Nothing was too much trouble ( they definitely went the extra mile - Thank you !!)They provided excellent breakfast , cakes, pre dinner drinks and superb dinner ( and also helpful ski related advice)
The chalet is very comfortable with lovely views and a hot tub to enjoy them . The chalet is a little out of the village but the owners Ian and gill provide a morning and evening shuttle . At other times there is a regular bus service as well.
Les Gets is a lovely resort with skiing to suit all abilities .

Our 4th visit to the chalet with a group of friends. Staying in such a welcoming and comfortable chalet adds to the exhilarating experience of skiing in a lovely picturesque resort. Ian and Gill have a winning formula and nothing is too much trouble for them. Returning from the slopes to amazing cakes and beautifully presented evening meals is a real treat. Evenings are very relaxed which could be the result of the copious amounts of wine that appear magically !

First group skiing trip away , 6 adults and 7 kids , couldn't of asked for more. Gill and Ian were such fantastic hosts , we were all really well looked after , returning from skiing to find delicious home made cake (Gluten free options) was a treat.
The children were well fed in the evening and once they were tucked up in bed we relaxed in the hot tub with a glass of bubbles and waited for our fantastic dinner to be served. Gorgeous food every night , wine was flowing and a couple of nights Ian brought out his Toffee vodka , delicious , Gill brought us some toffee syrup to take home and try making our own.
The accommodation was just right , comfortable beds and nice showers , very relaxing.
Ian and Gill drove us to the slopes every morning and picked us up when we called in the evening , after the first morning of chaos , 13 people not really knowing what they were doing , we were in a very smooth running routine.
Thank you Gill and Ian for your hospitality and for picking me up with your kind words when I was finding the skiing a bit tough :)
We will return one day I'm sure.
