Chalet Hotel Le Sabaudia provides a perfect base - beautiful, well appointed apartments ideally located in the heart of the village. Swimming pool and jacuzzi in the basement with a great restaurant / grill connected to the hotel. The staff are also really friendly. We've already booked for next year (hopefully they will turn the pool temperature up in time for our next visit)!
- pool is small, and 2 degrees too cold
- at least in the largest apartment(s) they could put a washing machine. The communal one costs 8 Euros for a wash. Technically a dry is included, though our clothes came out too hot to touch and soaking wet
- the wifi has clearly improved, but you do have to keep logging in a few times a day
- a small oven and a slightly bigger proportion of kitchen would be great. I think our kitchen was literally about 2% of the total floor space
- the reception is not open long during the day, but they do open early morning. So it was frustrating at 8.45am to pop down to check the weather forecast they put out on the counter to find it was 3 days old. Sure you can google it yourself, bit if they are going to supply a weather forecast to help you decide how many layers to put on to go skiing, at least do it properly
We'd come again though as none of these are show stoppers. The resort is great, and these self catering apartments capture the venue very nicely.
