Detailed Reviews
Just had the best week of my skiing life in Les Gets staying with Hillary, Duncan at Chalet Sandy. After staying with them in 2017, I didn't think that experience could be bettered...was I wrong. The new chalet is magnificent. My room was warm and had plenty of space with balcony views over the main ski piste. The bed was very comfortable with luxurious blankets and duvets and multiple pillows. The outdoor spa is a great touch and is great for relaxing after a hard day skiing. From cleanliness perspective everything was immaculate and felt new whilst taking nothing away from the traditional chalet feel. The food was something special as Duncan and Cara pulled out all the stops producing some phenomenal multi course meals which were unforgettably tasty. Hillary, Molly and Danni did everything they could to make our groups stay unforgettable and cannot thank them enough. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Les Gets definitely go here....

Hilary and Duncan and all the staff were fantastic chalet hosts and we felt so well looked after. The chalet was finished to the highest standard and was immaculately clean. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and the evening dinners were unbelievably good. Duncan had told us that he worked for Michelin star restaurants in the past, and the meals reflected this. In the afternoon after skiing, we would go back to the most delicious home-made cakes and coffee/hot chocolate. The beds were very comfortable and showers hot and powerful. The hot tub was a lovely touch after hard day skiing. We were given free lifts to Les Gets (15 minutes walk from the chalet) every morning and picked up in the afternoon. We loved our whole stay.

One of the best holidays I have ever been on! The chalet is so comfortable and homely; Hilly and Duncan have thought of all of the little details. They are so welcoming and hospitable; helping organise ski passes, lessons and giving recommendations for the area.
It is in a perfect location for the ski slopes as well as to explore nearby areas.
The food is some of the best food I have ever had - fine dining every night, along with home-cured bacon at breakfast and home-baked cakes every afternoon.
Can't recommend it enough and can't wait to go back!!

My first time in a catered chalet and it won't be my last. Such a fantastic trip with friends to Chalet Sandy. The location was stunning and the chalet catered to our every need. Hillary and Duncan went the extra mile dropping us off and picking us up when skiing /boarding on the mountain, organising mountain passes, suggesting ski rental and transfer companies, preparing meals and suggesting activities in the area. The food prepared by Duncan and Cara was amazing and every night seemed to exceed my expectations on the previous three-course menus. Hillary and the team of Molly and Dani were outstanding hosts being super friendly and knowledgeable on local activities. If you are thinking about a trip to the French Alps then I would lock in this chalet. I will defintely be back in the future.

Have just come back from a brilliant week at Chalet Sandy. Hilly and Duncan (and the hard-working chalet girls) just make everything so easy and comfortable!
The usual faff of transfers, ski hire, getting to the slopes, getting lift passes, etc just isn't an issue as they have thought of everything.
We took our 5 year old son for the first time and it worked perfectly as the kids are fed first and then we could enjoy the amazing dinner with the other chalet guests, knowing that he was safe in bed in the next room (not always possible on family holidays!) There was lots in the chalet to entertain him too.
Coming back from the slopes to find afternoon tea and the hot-tub really makes the whole experience feel like a luxury.
If you want to ski in a great area and enjoy every moment off the slopes too, this is the place!

We stayed here (family of five) for a week in the summer. The chalet and accommodation is beautiful and the owners Hillary and Duncan are excellent hosts. The location is perfect - just far enough away from the centre of town to be quiet and peaceful but just a few minutes away from the lifts, restaurants and shops of the town centre. Les Gets is a fantastic place for skiers in winter or walkers / mountain bikers in summer. The highlight of our stay at the chalet was the food - unbelievable quality Michelin star standard food home cooked by Duncan. This is a brilliant quality chalet and Hillary and Duncan helped make the holiday a brilliant one. Highly recommended.

We booked a post-lockdown last minute trip to the Alps to tackle some Alpine Peaks and downhill MTBing, Duncan and Hilly and family were exceptional hosts. There was great communication when we were unexpectedly delayed and Hilly met us at the door on our arrival.
We had the tasting menu and wine flight cooked by Duncan and team and I have to say it was up there with the best meals of our lives, the wine was also carefully selected to complete each course.
The chalet is perfectly located to the lifts in Les Gets for a day of downhill riding and there was space to store our bikes.
We had a great couple of nights. Thank you :)

Hilly and Duncan (the hosts at Chalet Sandy) absolutely wowed us once again when we stayed for a week in January. We love this chalet and had three new arrivals this year to our family so we were looking forward to the trip but slightly daunted at the prospect!
Hilly has everything you could ever need for children of all ages from a next-to-me cot to a pram and was more than happy for us to borrow these items. Not forgetting the countless toys and Hilly’s own little delightful Amelie keeping our little ones entertained. Chalet Sandy is so rare because as soon as you arrive there you instantly relax and are made to feel at home.
Duncan’s food is top class and always has been. However for those who might not have had the pleasure of having it... you absolutely must... best food in Les Gets hands down... and we’ve probably sampled everything there is on offer in terms of food and drink in Les Gets. Duncan managed to take the food to the next level (didn’t know there was one) and we were treated to delicious lamb and duck dishes to name only two.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough and we’ve stayed that many times now we have the privilege of calling Hilly, Duncan and Amelie our family friends!

An exceptional chalet run by by a family who pride themselves in providing a warm comfortable stay where individual needs are met and lasting friendships with fellow guests are forged. The high quality menus from breakfast, to homemade cakes in the afternoon and then fine dining in the evening are outstanding. Dietary requirements are met with no fuss. Once you have visited you will want to keep returning both in the summer and winter.

We visited Le Gets for a week and had the great pleasure or staying at Chalet Sandy.
The chalet is amazing with some really lovely and innovative designs. (Check out the light fitting made by Duncan).
Hilary and Duncan are a lovely couple completing each others skills. Duncan is an amazing chef and all round caring action man. Hilary is the ideal hostess and makes a point at all times to ensure her guests have everything they need.
The young ladies (seasonaires) who assist them are helpful, efficient and as Hilary make sure you have a drink in hand when you need it and a snack after a long day of Skiing.
Theres a playroom for the kids to chill in and if you look around you will be surprised to find Duncan's handy work with a mini gym and even a climbing wall at the back of the house. Not to mention their Spa bath which will sooth those aching muscles.
Enjoy people as we all did during our visit.
