Le Castillan was a great place for my girlfriend and I to stay for our 4-day ski trip in Alpe d'Huez. Some of it's strengths include: 1. A free continental breakfast from 7:00 am - 10:00 am daily. 2. Alpine Sports is located in the same building, so renting affordable ski equipment is a breeze. 3. There's a locker room...

This hotel is conveniently located in Alpe d'Huez, not in the busy centre but not too far away from the slopes. Excellent continental breakfast and delicious evening meals. The owners are very friendly and do care for their guests. The rooms are well cleaned although the decoration is a bit simple and old. I recommend the ones with a balcony...

This hotel is situated at the edge of L'Alpe D'Huez but within easy walking distance of everything. The owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast (which is included) has a wide choice of items which are well displayed in a large scenic room. The restaurant is closed in summer but there are plenty of places to eat out within walking distance....

I stayed here in July to do a few days cycling travelling solo. Rooms are a little bit towards the basic side, but still have flatscreen TV, phone and bathroom etc, very clean and comfortable with amazing view and balcony on the south side - perfect for me. Breakfast was generous and the owners are super accommodating and helpful even...

Excellent service and great breakfast--restaurant was closed since low season right now. Tidy rooms and very friendly as said. can easily be recommended to bikers too and there is a safe garage with cameras for an additional fee, just in case

I've stayed at Le Castillan 4 or more times the past 10 years and always enjoy the warm welcome and hospitality provided by Stephanie and her family. While the hotel was one of the first on the mountain, it is perfect for cycling groups with secure bike storage and a restaurant. I am looking forward to returning many, many more...

We stayed here for just one night as we were with someone doing the bike trip. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was also affordable and the people working (possible owners) were friendly. We would stay here again. The wifi was solid

Visited here in mid June and found the hotel to be absolutely enchanting. My wife and I may have been the only two people staying there, as it is their off season, but the operators could not have been more helpful with recommendations for dining, sightseeing, etc. The rooms were ample sized and the views of the mountains were absolutely...

We stayed here so my husband could cycle the Alpe d'Huez. Being in June it was off season and the restaurant on site was not open other than for breakfast (which was basic and no decent coffee). This didn't matter as there were cafes/restaurants open in the village, a few minutes walk from the hotel. The spa/sauna were also closed...
