I visited this hotel in 1995 and for a surprise to my husband we revisited it in 14 year later .......and what a disappointment. The rooms were tired back in the 90's and not a single room or corridor has been redecorated since. It is is dire need of some TLC - but the location and surrounding area is beautiful....

After a long journey from Italy on route to uk we decided to stay here for one night. We booked a room each. The toilet cistern in my room was completely dry and therefore indicated that this room had not been occupied for a long time. I picked my luggage and they transferred me to another room. Not feeling entirely...

This is in fact the second time we have stayed in the Fartoret, the first occasion being the same time last year, on spec. - and we had found the facilities and the staff quiet acceptable for the price, given it's proximately to Geneva. This time, we had booked in advance as we knew this would fit the bill for...

We're not neophytes when it comes to travel in Europe: I've visited France more than 100 times since 1972, five times already in 2011. Business and pleasure, always...sometimes for a month, sometimes only for a day or two. We've been to Fartoret three times and can give it a good recommendation. It's close to Geneva,of course, but nicely located in...

“The rooms on the lowest level (20 somethings when numbered) are marble floored and wonderfully cool on a hot day, they also have a heater should the room not be warm enough on cooler days.”

“We prefer rooms at the back of the hotel. Good view, a little quieter than at the front.”
