Absolutely the best hotel in La Grave. I've been returning to La Grave for over 10 years and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. Comfortable accommodation, excellent food, and great atmosphere.

The Edelweiss continues to offer the best accommodation in the area. Marlon and Robin are fantastic hosts, the food is great (try the Tarte aux noix with Chartreuse if it's on the menu) and the rooms are great (stayed in the apartments behind the hotel for the first time - very nice living/dining area, and fantastic views!

Both the supper and breakfasts where fantastic. The rooms are great. We stayed in the flats. My one criticism is all but one of the light bulbs were out in the bathroom. Which was surprising because they were so on top of everything else. I'll be going back.

Bonjour George, Thank you so much for your review. It is great to hear you enjoyed our home made suppers and the varied breakfast. And yes, we are trying to be on top of everything and making the stay for our guests as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It's therefore a pitty to hear that we didn't manage to change...

As a late adopter of Ski Club of Great Britain and also a virginal visitor to the delights of La Grave's amazing off piste, it has been a real pleasure being a guest at the Edelweiss. This is not a flash hotel but that for me is part of its charms. Here you will meet like minded off piste enthusiasts...

Hi Mickey, We are glad you made it to La Grave this winter. And we have to thank you for the interesting chats at the bar before dinner and the many laughters in the bar after dinner. It was great meeting you and with pleasure having you stay with us again. Marlon & Robin

The Edelweiss is just the perfect place to stay in La Grave. Robin and Marlon and their staff are the most welcoming hosts I have found. The food is to die for and given a hard day up the mountain, you need it. I can't praise this hotel enough. The wine list is extensive and carefully selected each season.

We stayed at the Edelweiss for four nights in March 2017. We received a very warm welcome from proprietors Robin and Marlon, and were delighted with the relaxed ambiance, excellent food and the truly spectacular wine list. Highly recommended

Marlon and Robin together with their team run a great business here. The attention to detail is excellent, food is made fresh from locally sourced products, rooms are spacious. There is a great room to safely store bikes and Robin was invaluable help in setting up bikes and so forth. We were easily able to cycle to Alpes D'huez, Col...

Brilliant stay, great welcome, nothing was too much trouble, felt at home from the moment we arrived. Robin and his team could not do enough for us. Food was excellent, served promptly and with a smile. Rooms were cosy, well fitted out and very comfortable... Do I have to go back to Ireland????
