Review based on our restaurant experience and not the hotel... Limited menu and quite expensive considering the venue is situated a little out of the main town which normally means better quality food at lower prices... Service was casual and indifferent. Wines priced over 30 euros too was over the top....should offer more choice and be competitive. The food we...

Incredibly rude staff. I am vegetarian and so politely asked “avez-vous des plats végétariens”. Her response was to inform the couple on the table next to us that I am both English and vegetarian, to which all three erupted with laughter. Vegetarianism in France may be funny, but don’t humiliate your customers. Plus, I ended up paying 23€ for extremely...

I found the hotel by accident in a hurry, and was so pleasantly surprised! We arrived quite late, but the owner of the hotel (who also cooks for you sometimes) greeted us very well and made us dinner. Overall through our stay he was extremely helpful and friendly, which really added to our trip. The restaurant is beautiful and the...

This is a favorite gathering place for all of the locals, who tend to drift in for late dining. The food and service is outstanding. The outdoor patio atmosphere is very private and pleasant. Strangely enough, they seem to do a huge take-out pizza business. Their pizza is very popular along with their fine dining options. We shared a whole...

Stayed here over the last bank holiday weekend. The hotel was perfect for a short stay on a budget. It felt 100 percent French in every way. The restaurant at the hotel closes around midnight so we felt the pressure getting there from our late flight. I'm not sure why it says the reception closes so early on booking.com as...

Arrived here for two nights on the 28th of September 2015. On arrival there was a blonde lady in the bar who although saw us coming in did not greet us. I went up to her to tell her we had a reservation and wanted to check in. She gave us our room key with no further information. She was...

I was here for 2 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The hotel doesn't pretend to be something it's not which is what attracted me to it in the first place. It's a gorgeous-looking courtyard restaurant with a 2-star hotel above it. The rooms are very reasonably priced, and although there were a few things that could be improved...

We did not stay in the hotel, so are only commenting on the restaurant. We dined in the dreamlike garden out back - really a spectacular atmosphere. The waiters were very warm and welcoming, when they realized we had very little french they immediately sent someone with fluent english over to explain the menu. The waitress who took care of...

We thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay at this quaint hotel up a lane, but close to everything in the gorgeous seaside village of Cassis. Julienne, the proprietor, did everything imaginable to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, same went for his staff. We loved the courtyard, cool and inviting, a lovely spot for a drink in the afternoon after...

Le Clos des Aromes is a very old historical hotel. Recently a new owner who is working hard to modernise and refurbish. It is a 2 star hotel. So do not expect luxury, but you will have charm, very friendly staff and provencal atmosphere. Charm! Simple but clean rooms and lovely food in the courtyard under the trees. 5-7 minutes...
