Very nice hotel in the middle of town, very convenient, parking available, they even accommodated our too high van in another garage of the hotel, beds were very comfortable, room a decent size, breakfast buffet was very good. The bathroom didn't have a strong enough fan, so when you take two showers in a row, the steam makes the entire bathroom wet and it stays like this for hours. So it's always very damp in there and a damp smell. The floor also flooded slightly and the water never went until we used a towel. Plus the shower curtain is out of cloth, so it also stays damp for a long time and contributes to the wet smell. They also didn't offer any vegetarian milk nor gluten-free bread at the breakfast buffet.
Quaint, comfortable, clean, conveniently located in the heart of this lovely small town. We were greeted by a very friendly reception only too pleased to recommend good restaurants nearby like L'Insolite nearby (excellent). The hotel is older with a rustic charm and more character than many of the larger, chains of hotels that we have stayed in. The breakfast was good and we took ours in the courtyard so our little pooch could join us - great coffee, lovely cheeses, nice breads, cereals, juices. Very good sleep quality from comfortable beds and a quiet environment. We were also able to book a parking space in the hotel garage.
The hotel is well situated for visiting Saintes, they have undercover parking (€10) but there is public parking nearby. The room was not huge but spacious enough and had the benefit of a mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. It was very clean. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all very friendly.
We stayed one night, and it was amazing. Reception was friendly and helpful when we checked in in the evening at 8:30 p.m. The owners were there when we got up in the morning. They were friendly and helpful as well. They were even able to get us a taxi to the train station, and they are very difficult to obtain. It was hot outside, and each room had an A/C unit that we controlled for our comfort. The room was large for Europe, and it was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and they made health accommodations for covid. It was centrally located, so we were able to walk everywhere to see all of Saintes. There is also parking available. I will only stay here in the future.
Very good location in the middle of town on a quiet street with nice restaurants around. We were able to find free parking nearby. The "suite" was a strange L-shape with even stranger furniture, 1960s formica mixed with heavy wood. The room was basically clean but more attention should have been paid to inside drawers and the shower divider.
Fantastic location in town. Perfect for visiting. Team is really friendly. Hotel is really tidy and clean. Very calm which is also very nice ensuring a perfect sleep. They also have a closed car park which is very convenient. Located just 20m from the reception
Very comfortable and clean, and right in the centre. The room was very quiet, and the bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee making faciities were provided, which was very welcome after a long journey too.
A pleasant hotel, centrally located to the restaurants and the river. We had a suite, which was comfortable although very dark in the room. Only one window. Bed very comfortable and good facilities although our tea tray hadn’t been filled up. A little dated but okay for an overnight. It does have private parking although it was not possible to book this on booking.com It was not clear that this is because it was already full. There is a car park very close for 10€ overnight.
We enjoyed our one night stop over. Hotel was recommended by friends. Excellent location and the private covered parking was very convenient. Worth paying for this service but best to reserve in advance.
We stayed at this hotel for One night on the 29th August this year. My husband is disabled and I emailed a few days before to see if we could have a room with a walk in shower. I got a really quick response to say that was no problem and there was a lift. The room was lovely really and nicely decorated The staff were really helpful. It is a good position very near the town centre. We would definitely stay there again.
