We stayed just one night but it was a lovely hotel, public car park directly opposite, staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't eat there as there a loads of bars and restaurants within the vicinity Will definitely stay there again

The Balazur is what it says, a Two Star hotel. Room small and very plain, shower small overall nothing like the photos on its website, but it is ideally placed for the docks, which is what we wanted. Breakfast okay. One night is plenty.

And it was but we did take our own pillows !! Arrived early evening looks very rundown outside and not much better inside. A few dodgy characters lurking about. The room was clean and so was the bed. The shower was useless and soaked the whole shower room and outside the door. The breakfast was only €8 so don't expect...

It was a cheap room for the night after our eurotunnel got in late. Our room was clean and comfortable but a bit rough around the edges. Good central location. Breakfast was included but a bit rough and ready, the toaster was broken and the coffee machine seemed suitable for a family home. Parking is available but seemingly only if...

It was initially a business trip that also turned into a family outing because my kids were off school so we all went. Bad points = 1.The outside of the hotel its self looked very tired and in need of a serious paint job. 2. The reception area seemed like it had part time staff because they were hard to...

We stayed here for one night (group of 6) on the way back from a festival. Our room was so dated with paint drops all over the floor. Not only that but there was wires exposed everywhere, which I'm pretty sure is a health hazard. In our shower the shower head is not attached to the shower it's fully loose...

Hotel is cheap so expect nothing more than just a polite hello and nothing else. The staff were nice people. The hotel on the other hand is very very basic. WiFi is useless as it seems to be household wifi being used for business purpose. Room was average. No lock on the bathroom door, shower leaked onto the bathroom floor....

We stayed in a twin room for 11 nights. The hotel is "no frills" accommodation but good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly. When we were there the building was in the middle of being renovated so it was not looking its best at that time. Our room was small but clean. One small complaint, there wasn't...

Damp, plaster coming off wall, had to make our own beds. Overcrowded. Toilet seat broken. Seems like the place is in continual , unfinished renovation. Reception / staff is rude and not helpful at all. Don't stay here. Only good thing is view on the square if you lucky to have room facing that side

I was a little nervous about my stay here given some of the other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. I only stayed one night before catching the ferry to Dover, but my room was big and clean, and I had a balcony. I didn't have any issues with noise, as i read in some reviews, but I was on...
