The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ok. The only thing I missed was a kitchen to cook or a proper bar/restaurant that serves food instead. The service was good. Not bad for a couple of days.

... So they don't try very hard. As they offer a small discount to people volunteering they really don't bother too Much, I guess they know they'll get the business. It is unclean, like other reviews mention. The communal areas are cleaned, but your room is totally left and the bathroom floor is swept and nothing else. The toilet really...

We had a lovely five nights here. Our room was very basic but clean and we were lucky enough to have a sea view. The toilet and shower was shared but worked ok for us. Breakfast was provided which was simple but sufficient and we enjoyed it. Downstairs they have a small coffee bar with seating areas and games. They...

I've just returned from 3 days at the Hostel with 7 students and 4 teachers at our school. We had a wonderful time! Great location, clean rooms, wonderful food!!! The staff were endlessly friendly and very helpful. I stay in Youth Hostels a lot and this is one of the best I've ever been in. I thoroughly recommend it!

If you're volunteering in Calais at one of the warehouses or in the camp then this is the best place to stay. Everyone mucks in shares lifts and helps each other with advice and information. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar is good for snacks and coffee etc. However, my main issue is that it is very...

Been here three times when volunteering with Care4Calais with their work with refugees in the Jungle camp. It's pretty inexpensive, clean and only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Calais. They also give a 10 per cent discount for volunteers.

The hostel is basic but clean and comfy. Each room shares a bathroom between 2 (4 people). Breakfast is coffee, bread and cake which is included. It's a busy hostel with lots of volunteers so a good atmosphere and always someone to talk to. The hostel is a short walk from the beach where you can watch the ferries coming...

I stayed a month at the hostel over two visits. The rooms are good quality and are all you could ask for. Comfy beds, tables, chairs, plug sockets, good showers in the bathrooms - if you are expecting more then there are plenty of posher hotels you can pay more for more. The lack of kitchen facilities didn't bother me...

I was a lone guest in a shared twin room. During my stay of 8 nights I was alone for one night and for the remainer I shared with two different Dutch guys. We all got along really well. The bathroom is shared with next door via a connecting corridor. Doors to both rooms are lockable on both sides. i.e...

Stayed here for two weeks and was pleasantly surprised by my room and bathroom. The breakfast was a little poor- some fruit would have been nice! Also, even though it is rather cheap, it's not too cost effective as there are no kitchen facilities which means spending more money on food every night. Some staff were lovely, others, a little...
