This has been our 10th consecutive visit to this Hotel. After visiting many others, in our opinion, we consider that this is the best Hotel in St. Nazaire for food, wine, service, friendliness, cleanliness and position on the main road between St. Nazaire and La Baule. There is plenty of selection for breakfast, and if there is anything you need,...

This is our 9th consecutive stay at this lovely hotel. The facilities are excellent. Although it is on the main road between St. Nazaire, & Pornichet / La Baule it is surprisingly quiet. It has a large car park, a lovely outdoor pool, within easy reach of several lovely beaches just 5 minutes from the hotel. Several markets in the...

This is our 7th consecutive visit to this hotel and we stay for at least 3 weeks. Madame Denis and her staff are most helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. My husband and I are retired and both disabled and the staff are very helpful to our needs and requirements. We have never had a problem with breakfast at...

Location outside the city centre of Saint-Nazaire. Nice staff, very customer friendly. Dishes and mainly fish very good but very small portions. Wines are very/too expensive except the monthly housewine. At the breakfast buffet all basic needs are on display including fresh fruits but nothing special. Heating in the bathroom doesn't work properly. Bus stop from and to the city...

Not a good location. Large coach parties dominate the restaurant area consequently the individual couples tent to be left in the background. Breakfast after 9am was always a case of asking for items which were never available i.e. run out of coffee, run out of bread, ham, etc. The staff never seemed to top-up any missing items without being asked....

The hotel and staff were great but who wants a holiday on an industrial estate. The hotel did all it could to make our stay a happy one but why did Shearings pick this hotel when the west coast is so beautiful and hundreds of hotels near the sea.The hotel is a good 3 star and the staff were so accommodating...

Rooms spacious & clean with in-room safe & a useful fridge in which to put any purchases from nearby supermarket. Lots of choice at breakfast. The group were on half board with 3 or 4 choices for each course at dinner. The food was beautifully presented & plenty of it! The staff couldn't have been more friendly & helpful. The...

We travelled with Shearings Coaches, so travelled all round the surrounding area, which was magnificent - in particular La Baule and Vannes, two very different places. La Baule is very elegant, and Vannes an olde worlde port. At the Aquilon nothing was too much trouble - we asked for extra pillows and were given them within the half hour! Wonderful...
