We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s a characterful building, and the room we had was quite quirky, with steps up and down to get to the bathroom. The food was excellent, the breakfasts, and the evening meal we had there with friends. It has a large and secure car park, which was important to us.

At the second we made the turn from the road into the property the woods separated the modern world away.Suddenly it's all quiet. We were in a 15th century castle surrounding by woods from 12th century.Stepped on those stone stairs to our room is a step back in time. The room is huge with old time charming. And the onwer Natalie and... More

As we arrived a bit early for check in we were met by a jolly owner and his dog. His wife - Madame greeted us from the turret and said they were ready with a special room for us. My exhausted husband helped by Madame carted up our luggage two floor up a spiral 15 century staircase to our room.... More

We stayed here on our way to the ferry home, it was a great choice, the room was huge and slept the five of us with great ease and comfort. It was clean I agree with some of the other reviews the bathroom is a little quirky, but it was spotlessly clean. The grounds are fantastic and the children really... More

The manoir and its garden are all that remains of what was once a very impressive estate. It is now surrounded by houses. The building itself is very impressive, the rooms inside are less so. Our room, in the main building, was large with windows on both sides. The bathroom let it down being cramped, dark and a bit smelly.... More

We recently stayed in the Manoir and were wowed by it. The setting is fantastic as it is a very old manoir. The welcome (by the owners Nathalie and Pierre Olivier) was very warm and we were made to feel at home straight away. For us one of the best things was the food. It was home cooked by Nathalie... Our family of 6 recently stayed here. And while not luxurious, it was remarkably preserved in 15th century charm. Pierre and Natalie were fantastic and welcoming hosts. The food was great and they even prepared different food for my kids. It was great to get a home cooked French meal. Bottom line, great people, truly unique atmosphere and will have... More

When we arrived we were greeted by Natalie who showed us our room, in the manoir itself and up a stone spiral staircase. It was, obviously, old but delightful and yes, as commented elsewhere, the bathroom pod is a bit strange, but so what, it serves its purpose! We then went back down and sat on the terrace with as... “Laval is a pleasant town, enjoyable walks along the river. Found a great chocolatier in the old town, near the chateau. The manoir is about a mile from the town centre and on a hill, so if you walk in to town, it's up hill all the way back.”
