The room was lovely and intimate, clean, comfortable bed, updated decor and well-equipped. The bar area is welcoming and friendly, and it's helpful that the affable and knowledgeable owner speaks English well. I thought I'd reserved a room that didn't look over the street; that turned out not to be the case; if we'd been able to keep the windows... More

Clean and friendly hotel. Room small but comfortable. For English speaking visitors there is the added bonus that the proprietor originates from Cambridgeshire. Houlgate has a big sandy beach and the town is small and quiet but more friendly than most French towns.

Hotel is a 3 stars hotel and deserve them all. It is small but real fine. People are extremely friendly and helpful. The size of the room is alright. Bed big enough and hard enough. Comfortable. Just a few minutes away from the beach front. Our room number 302 was facing the ocean. Shower a bit small but still ok

This is a great little boutique hotel, only 18 rooms. We had one of the ones off the courtyard at the back. Very modern decor, very clean. Separate loo from the bathroom. Only problem was it was very hot when we were there and security wise leaving the window wide open at night was a problem. Perhaps providing fans in... More

What a lovely hotel. Classy decor in our room with a modern a functional on suite. Run by an engaging and charming fellow could not be more helpful. We are planning a return to this charming place with friends, just to show off.

Stayed over on way to Channel Tunnel - Houlgate is a great little town and this hotel is a gem. Fantastic room all kitted out with nice view. Will defiantly return. The hotel is located perfectly in the centre of town. Parking out the front or on side streets.

We had to break our journey from Ile de Re and almost randomly chose Villa les Bains. How lucky we were. The owners welcomed us and we had a very needed glass (or two) of Chablis in the lobby bar. The atmosphere was friendly, the room excellent and the position on the main "drag" was perfect. A shame we could... More

This family run hotel was perfect for our family half term break. Set in the middle of the seaside town of Houlgate, the location couldn't have been better. Not far from Deauville and Honfleur. Villa les Bains was clean and extremely comfortable. Travelling with children we requested that our two rooms were near each other, they were right opposite, so... More

Due to the vacation season in france, it was a little difficult to find a Hotel. I did not find a Hotel in Dives sur Mere, where I was working but 15 minuets in Houlgate. Villa Les Bains was in the end a good choice. A small family run Hotel on the main tourist street in Houlgate. 5 minute walk... More
