It was wonderful to enjoy a quiet peaceful night in a farm house from 1889. The room was clean. The breakfast was wonderful. The owners spoke perfect English and were kind and helpful. We would want to stay here again. It was close to Mons Klint whose chalk cliffs and old growth forests made for a perfect walk.

Old farmhouse converted to B&B, most rooms in a converted piggery, fully modernised with tile floors all over. Very comfortable rooms, cosy, with terrace, table and chairs and surrounded by pittoresque farmland. You can glimpse the heights of Eastern Møn and the sea on two sides. Room with table, 2 chairs and a lot of storage space, even at the (simple but functional) bathroom. Hairdryer and blackout curtains provided, very useful. Galleried bed upstairs, mainly for a kid. Functional, nice & clean all over. Glasses in the cupboard. Only minus: Very thin walls to neighboring rooms. Very functional self-catering facilities are provided: Kitchen w fridge and minibar, sitting room w TV, outdoor “lounge area” w chairs/tables & view to farmland. Didn't try the breakfast. Friendly & serviceminded hosts. 12 min drive to Møns Klint, 10 min to Stege. Small daily in the village of Borre. Wifi difficult accessible in room but they are working on it.

More a motel than b&b set in a renovated pig sty ( don't be put off) our hosts really were very welcoming - the place is immaculately kept set in the countryside just off the main road ( quiet country lane really) with use of tv room, kitchen and other features very well set up for all types of visitors. The breakfast was super fresh. Beds comfy but you have to make your own bed - a first experience for us when paying for accomodation. Highly recommend as fair price in Denmark, for happy stay.

Borre is a beautiful place on Møns and near the Møns Klint which is the reason most people visit Møns. The rooms at Bakkelund are nice and have a great view. Breakfast is basic but good. I rate this place 3 stars because it's not a B&B. There is a large and long building which is like a hotel corridor and even though there is a lot of people staying the owners don't see they need for staff. So there is no check-out between 7 and 9:30 because there are busy with breakfast.

Elsebeth and Tage Jakobsen work hard to make sure that guests here enjoy their time in a wonderful, out of the way environment. Only about two hours south of Copenhagen, this B&B and this area combine to create the perfect antidote to civilization. You can feel yourself relax and unwind as you soak in the beauty of this wonderful part of Denmark. It's a short drive to the cliffs at Mons Klint, which are absolutely breathtaking. The Bakkelund Bed and Breakfast offers a wonderful, not-to-be-missed breakfast, and gives guests the feeling of being on a farm (without having to do the farm work.) My only complaint was about the beds in the rooms. I specifically requested and had confirmed that there would be two separate single beds in one of our two rooms, but that was not the case. That created a few small problems, which were solved by the presence of the loft overhead. All in all though, two nice nights in a comfortable place.
