We stayed at this bed and breakfast and it felt like we stopped at our grandparents house, because this couple was so welcoming and really spoiled us. The service was excellent and we enjoyed it very much!
The house and the private enclosured gardens are very secure and stunning, a beautiful quite location with a beautifully equipment air conditioned rooms, free wifi you would not want or need anymore. The hosts are fantastic, we were given free coffee, biscuits and pastries throughout the afternoon on our arrival day which is a lovely touch. Breakfast was just gorgeous, all freshly home made by Violette. I felt I needed to write this review after our first of four nights stay as it was so good, because we believe everything at La Villa de Olivier is perfect, we will be returning next year. You will not beat this accommodation in Cap d'Agde.
It was like being at home with the family. They are fantastic hosts, very friendly and warm as well as respectful of your own space. The breakfast, OMG!!! It's like going to a Michelin star restaurant for breakfast. We were there for 3 days and had three different breakfasts served in different crockery sets. Violette is fantastic and the warmest and friendliest host I have ever met! Violette even taught me how to use google translate so we could communicate. We would love to go back someday. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately we've been there for only 1 night, but it was the best place of all the hotels, hostels and villas in France which we have tried. The garden with a pool is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious (and large), and the husband took us twice to a place where we needed to be. And unlike other places these extras was free, so it's basically all inclusive, for a price which is normal in cap d'Agde. Also the house is in a very good neighbourhood, the silence and the lack of any crowd makes it perfect for a calm day after the party nights in cap d'Agde.
A superb B&B with hosts that make you feel genuinely welcome. Violette’s skills in the kitchen are outstanding and Albert ensures the amenities are in tiptop condition. The rooms are very clean, air-conditioned and with free Wi-Fi. The spotless bathroom contains all the little touches a traveler needs. The pool and garden are beautifully upkept and make for a welcome break when you just want a lazy afternoon. We have only good memories of La Villa de Olivier and look forward to a return visit.
This is our second stay with Violette and Albert. They are very kind and generous, picking us up from the airport and taking us into town. They provide an amazing breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool after a peaceful nights sleep in one of their comfy rooms. Cap d'agde is lovely too, beautiful sandy beaches, yacht filled harbour surrounded by restaurants and bars to satisfy your every need. Shops of every kind to buy some nice gifts to take home.
We received the warmest welcome from Albert and Violette at the La Villa de l'Olivier - meeting us at their gate as we arrived after a long drive. We enjoyed the coffee and brioche as Violette orientated us to the surrounding areas providing maps and information booklets. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean with fresh flowers from their beautiful garden. What made the villa de l'olivier so special were the exceptionally good breakfasts - there was nothing petit about Violettes petit déjeuner! Expertly baked desserts, pastries, breads, home made conserves, fresh fruit salads, fresh cooked savory crepes...the list goes on. It seemed violettes dessert repertoire was indefatigable, served on the terrace overlooking the pool - perfect. The b&b is situated in a quiet residential area a short walk to the main port with its shops and restaurants and a short walk to the sandy beach. We were also stranded because of the French air traffic control strike and ended staying a extra 3 nights here and they were so helpful in allowing us to use their phone and pc to arrange new flights, car hire etc. A true taste of French warmth and hospitality, highly recommended. As for the resort, it is a fun beach resort with many good restaurants and great sandy beaches, whilst we were here we took day trips by car to Pezenas and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert which were both really worth seeing.…
