The rooms are fabulous, really very good especially if you opt for the privilege rooms. The downside is the awful restaurant. The food is all microwaved and served half cooked. Menu prices are straight from Paris but the quality is very poor. Such a shame.

What I absolutely dislike are websites which do not reflect reality. And this was the case with this hotel. The swimming pool is by far not looking as inviting as on the website. The room with view was a room with half a view as one of the window shutters was stuck in the downward position. The WiFi was so annoying slow that I gave up. Not enough personnel to serve bar and reception and the restaurant was good for 1 evening but certainly not worth mentioning Michelin quality. The view is nice and perfectly situated to start nice walks. For me too expensive for what I got.

We wanted a family friendly place to stay to access the skiing at Le Mont Dore. The hotel was warm and the staff friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Water or tea making in the room would have been great but not a deal breaker. The hotel had great access to the slopes. We had a connecting room for the children which worked out well. The kids loved the self service breakfast that included a pancake maker, an egg bath, hot chocolate machine and juice maker! Set us up for the day!

Great off-season spot, loved the village and the area. Hotel was a good family choice, with rooms for three and four people. The main bed was excellent. The wo-go could be spotty, and the chair bed was okay, but all in all a great place and value for a stay.

We had a fabulous stay at Le Puy Ferrand and will definitely return. It was clean, comfortable and very friendly staff and as a bonus there was the most fabulous Blues band in the evening whilst we were eating dinner. The views and sights around the area were stunning and we had a great time exploring.
