Nice hotel with good restaurant 1050 (reviewed separately). The room 107 was clean and well laid out with bath and shower. The lounge area is very comfortable. Service was very good the issue I had with the bath plug was sorted promptly and without fuss. Parking in the village is free in the car parks below and next to the... More

Quite a basic friendly hotel that offers a good value room in a great location in a nice typically French town. Skiing was very limited in Mont Dore but much better in Super Besse, and the very reliable shuttle service as offered by the hotel to/from the nearby slopes was very handy!

Have wanted to stay at Le Russie for several years. The staff are welcoming and friendly- several speak a little English. Our bedroom bathroom had obviously had an upgrade and the room size was good. Rooms are nicely decorated in keeping with the resort. Did find it very hot though despite turning the heating down. Buffet breakfast served in the... More

We were extremely happy with the service, food and rooms in the hotel. It was just round the corner from the spa and had easy access to the mountain for skiing. Was super to be here over the new year and the food and atmosphere was extremely pleasant. Will recommend to everyone. Very happy thank you!

Booked in for 30 th October to stay 2 nights, checked out after constant noise from renovation work on staircase. Food in restaurant very mediocre and not worth 3 pot rating of Logis de France. The town at this time of year is between seasons and many hotels and shops were closed. Tried the Thermes, but it is, more for... More

This hotel is quite old and rustic, but the location in the centre of town is excellent. The restaurant attached is average; quite plain fare and a bit on the expensive side for what it is. The town itself is beautiful, but a bit touristic. We were there just after the August holidays so the town was not overly crowded,... More

First, I don't understand how this hotel could be picked as number 1 in the town. What can the others be like? It is located in the centre, near the spa. If you need a place in the hotel car park, be warned that it gets full up, and costs €5 per night. The town has recently started charging for... More

We were really looking forward to getting to Mont Dore and getting a feel of the alleged less touristy area of the Auvergne (at least compared to the south of France). To describe Mont Dore in July feels like almost a parallel to the hotel, so this is like two reviews wrapped as one. Firstly, questions - Is July the... More

What a great little hotel, rooms were nicely decorated with great facilities. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the lounge great for a cosy evening. The staff were very helpfully and accommodating to a family with a baby. Would certainly recommend.

The hotel is right in the centre of the town - perfect for a post ski stay! The rooms were of a good standard for its star rating, and the bar/drinks rooms were gorgeous! I would highly recommend this hotel! Breakfast wasn't included, but us definately good value for money. Very helpful staff, and excellent proximity to local amenities. I... More
