This is our fourth time in Mont Dore. Stayed in another hotel in the centre of town twice and enjoyed it. Stayed in another hotel 30 seconds away the third time. Our fourth time neither were available. This hotel is literally 1 minute walk from town and was so much quieter as not on the Main Street of the town. So close to all amenities. Very clean. Friendly staff. Would stay here definitely when we return. Private parking. Beds very comfy. We like firm beds but not too hard. Lounge also available and continental breakfast very good value.
Lovely family run hotel with a fantastic welcome, comfortable rooms and good coffee for breakfast, they don’t do evening meals here but there is a great deal of choice to be had minutes walk from this delightful location.
There are lots of hotels in Mont Dore but we were very pleased we picked this one rather than ones which are perhaps more touristy. We stayed a couple of nights. The couple running it are very friendly and were happy to look after luggage on the day we departed; they even offered us the chance to use the loo when we returned to pick it up. We were the only English people staying when we were there off-season and it helps if you speak a few words of French but even if you don't they were easy to communicate with. It was very reasonably-priced (we paid about 57 Euros per night for an ensuite double). The layout is a bit quirky (bit of a rabbit warren) but it felt very personalised (it has 19 rooms). It was the best room we had on our trip. It is only a few minutes walk from the town centre but is a very peaceful location. You won't necessarily get a view of the mountains but if you're walking in them like we were you get plenty of views anyway.…
This is the sixth time we have stayed here and still a very pleasant place to stay. Comfortable room with en suite bathroom. Hotel only four minutes walk from town centre. Optional simple style Continental breakfast available if required. Charming hosts
A nice hotel that is centrally located, parking, wifi, and breakfast only. The rooms wee very traditional--small but very clean. The breakfast was, again, a traditional french meal (small) so bike riders need some additional calories for a long day. The town has many options for food. The owner (woman) spoke english, her husband did not. Both wee friendly.
