We booked direct with the hotel for 2 nights, as we were looking for somewhere to spend for our wedding anniversary whilst holidayng in the Limousin region, and La Hoirie turned out to be perfect. Set in the hills about a kilometre south of Sarlat, the hotel is well away from the busy town centre in a lovely residential location.... More

A beautiful hotel that is sat at the heart of the perigord region. It is beautifully converted farm buildings with stunning views of the dordogne valley. We paid a little extra for a superior room, which we are glad for, as it was exceptionally comfortable and pretty. The attached restaurant is amazing! It serves regional specialties to a beyond superior... More

We have been doing a road trip around the south of France and have stayed in the big chain hotels and although perfectly nice and comfortable, has lacked character. Staying at La Horie has made us regret staying in the large chain hotels. We spent three great nights here before moving onto Perigueux to another chain hotel. Big mistake. If... More

I reserved 2 rooms for 4 days four months in advance and I got one reasonable room and another one that was behind the Reception, with small windows and with humidity smell. After complaining, I had to stay in the room because all the other rooms were occupied. But, I was offered a 5 euro bottle of wine and a... More

We were staying nearby and La Hoirie was recommended as a place to eat. we were not aware of the hotel when we had booked to stay in the area but wish we had - it looks a lovely place. The outside setting for Dinner is superb with sufficient shade from the building to shield the heat of the early... More

Came here by accident. Did not stay at the hotel, but had dinner here. Better than the tourist traps in the center of Sarlat. It's a nice place, between the buildings and the garden. We had a good dinner for a reasonable price.

A little out of town the hotel is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful gardens. Because we did not want to climb stairs during our six day stay we were graciously changed to a ground-floor room which was rather small, had no sitting area, poor lighting but did have a lovely private patio. The bathroom is small, water from the shower gets... More

We stayed here for five nights. There were eight of us and our bicycles. The location was good just a little out of town. Easy access to cycle paths. The rooms comfortable and well cared for. The restaurant was exceptional and worth staying "in" for. The breakfasts were substantial and even served cake! Staff friendly and happy to help.
