We stayed four nights at La Lanterne earlier this month. It was the favorite of all the places we stayed in our month-long trip to France and Spain. Terri made us feel welcome and at home. We really enjoyed our conversations with her as well as her warm hospitality. Sarlat is a beautiful medieval town! It was a pleasure to...

We stayed 5 nights at Terri Bowen's lovely B & B in the middle of medieval Sarlat. It was the perfect base to explore the Perigord or Dordogne region. Even in 5 days we barely scratched the surface! So much to see and do. The house is lovely, with a quaint court yard and large and homey dining room. Terri...

My husband and I stayed in the comfortable and private lantern room. You are right on it in the beautiful old part of town. The owner is super friendly and has great tips on restaurants. She also has the world's most adorable dogs.

Excellent location in the heart of the historic old town, great facilities and a very friendly, helpful host. Had a fabulous 3 night stay. Highly recommended as a place to stay in Sarlat. A most enjoyable sojourn for a couple of Aussie visitors.

We are a couple in the fifties living in Madrid. We chose Sarlat for a 5-days stay during this year's Easter holidays to explore the Black Perigord. Sarlat is strategically very well placed for this purpose. The most relevant sites one may consider visiting in this area are easily accessible within less than one hour's driving distance, and Sarlat itself...

We love Sarlat, and are fairly regular visitors to the area - and have stayed with Terri at the Lanterne a number of times - so much so that we're not entirely sure what that number is! We've just finished a four-night stay. It's always a risk going back to somewhere you previously rated so highly, as sometimes things change...

It has been a few months since my stay with dear Terri at her fabulous chambres d'hôtes, La Lanterne, and because of how hectic life can be it's taken me this long to write my very first TripAdvisor review. However, La Lanterne was that moving - it was imperative I do so. The fact that La Lanterne (and Terri) still...

My daughter and I visited Sarlat-La-Caneda in the Dordogne and Black Perigord region in early October of 2016. After diligent research, my daughter chose Terri Bowen's La Lanterne for our 4 day stay. Sarlat transports you back to 14th century France. It is a town developed around a large Benedictine Abbey with picturesque, narrow, cobbled streets and lanes, architectural treasures...

We stayed six nights at La Lanterne and hated to leave. Starlet's beautiful old medieval towers, its cobblestone streets, and bustling markets are right outside Terri Bowen's big old wooden door, and guests are given their own old-fashioned key upon arrival. Inside the well-restored 1502 house, the furniture and wall hangings reflect Starlet's long history and are tastefully chosen, while...
