I gave four stars here but would have preferred to give three and a half. As has been mentioned, the hotel is several blocks away from the main part of town. This isn't bad but it would be nicer to be closer in. Our room was on the ground floor and was quite large. There were two twin beds on...

Charming and beautiful town. There were 3 of us so we were given Room 11 just five or six steps from the front desk! Happily non-smoking but the smokers sat just outside our window so we often could not have our window open. Our room definitely needed some decorating as it seemed almost thrown together and with nothing hanging on...

Our family (couple with three children) stayed for one night at the Best Western of Sarlat-la Caneda. We had a charming and spacious duplex room (#19) with a big bathroom, air-conditioning, good wi-fi connection and a big screen TV. The children enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel has an elegant lobby and breakfast/bar room. Near the bar there is a...

I wanted to visit Sarlat (again!) for years.Sarlat is wonderful. So we ordered a room for 3 days, two weeks before our arriving. We had a "voucher". What we got? We were "allowed" to choose from :a room without air-conditionning at 33degrees Celsius, a third floor room with no elevator and a spiral stair and a "duplex" that means to...

enjoyed this hotel even though we only stayed 1 night. it was very central to the medieval part of sarlat. the rooms were small but nice - the bathroom was really sumptious with a large bath. there was a tv and apparently you could get tea/coffee making facilities if you asked for it. there was a lovely pool but wasn't...

Sarlat is a wonderful town with a great Saturday market. The hotel is located just a five minute walk from the old town and market. The rooms are charming and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Marie and her staff go out of their way to help you. The buffet breakfast offers a good selection of bread and pastries,...

We booked one night at this hotel in May 2012, thinking we wanted to stay in a smaller town, such as Domme. However, Sarlat has a wonderful medieval center with lots of restaurants, all within walking distance, as well as having all of the modern shopping conveniences of a larger town. After visiting Domme and some other towns in the...

Giving this hotel three stars (which it has) is an example of grade inflation. The rooms are small, which is okay, but some don't have any air conditioning at all. Mine didn't and it was in the mid 80's F. The place was full so I wasn't offered a different room. I didn't even get a fan. It is just...

This hotel is about a ten minute walk to the medieval centre of a remarkable town. We stayed for three nights in mid-April. While the room we had seemed rather small and the elevator only held about 3 people, the facilities were on the whole just fine. The breakfasts were more than adequate with a good variety of breads, croissants,...

My wife and I, experienced travelers, arrived late one night in earky May. Our very clean large and comfortable double room was held till midnight, while we found a good place to eat in medieval and popular Sarlat. Mme. Marie, the proprieter and manager could not have been nicer and looked after our every request with a smile and often...
