We spent 6 nights in this hotel in high season. The location is nice, overseeing Santa Giulia bay, and the staff is kind (they helped a lot with restaurants reservation). However service and food very poor. One day at 5pm our friends found their room messy - the hotel staff said that they had an issue (which can happen) and they cleaned the room soon after; the day after the staff forgot to clean our room (how can be possible?), however it was already 6:30pm, and the receptionist told us that the cleaning ladies were no longer in the hotel and that she could not do anything beside giving us new towels. We cleaned the room our own, at the price of €415/night + breakfast on top. They don’t have a bar for snacks or food during the day, and there are no food choices in the frigobar beside a box of Pringles. Notwithstanding this, in the room there is a sign that says it’s forbidden to put extra food in the fridge: essentially they don’t offer anything to eat and they don’t want that you buy food to store in the room. Breakfast costs €15/person. I don’t mind spending extra money if the offering is adequate, which is not the case: for €15, you have 2 choices of cakes, 2/3 varities of fruit (apples, kiwi and sometimes bananas) and very little on top. It tooks me 2 days to convince them to buy soy milk for me, as I am intolerant to the normal milk. For similar price and in similar hotels, I have been offered fresh yogurt, greater choice of fruit (figues, melon, cherries), homemade granola, different type of cakes. Some of the waiters that serve breakfast don’t know any single word in English, not even the basics such us hot milk, green tea, which is really unacceptable. Wifi never works, I had to struggle so hard to make a video call from my room. Lastly, at check-out, they did not offer any proactive discount to the cleaning issue we experienced; upon asking, we got one day breakfast deducted from the check. To sum up, if you expect a 4 stars experience, I don’t recommend this place. If you are happy with a 3 stars hotel priced as luxury 4 stars, then go there.

My husband and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at Hotel Carre. It was our anniversary so my husband arranged for Champagne in the room, which the hotel had also decorated the bed with rose petals. The view from the rooms and rooftop pool will take your breath away. The rooms were super clean every day. The hotel stay will help you with anything you need, Taxis and reservations. While the hotel is basic with no restaurant, there are amazing beach front restaurants just down the hill. And the local beach is one of Corsica’s best!

We stayed here for 5 nights. Plus points. The reception and the room (we stayed in 101) were lovely. Good English-speaking staff who were very friendly. The room was well-appointed and the décor classy and new. It had a splendid balcony overlooking the bay. Comfortable bed, excellent air-con (quiet and effective). Rain-head shower all very nice. The deck upstairs with a small circular pool is beautiful. Negative It is in the middle of nowhere - 30 minutes walk up hill to get back and no taxis. You must have a car. I expressed concern about drinking and driving for dinner and was told not to worry as their were no police! The worst aspect is there is no bar or restaurant or room service you have to go out to dinner (how do you get 4 stars for this?). The restaurant of the same name that appears on some websites is not theirs and not a proper restaurant. Buffet breakfast is over-priced. If you're happy t o drive and

Comfortable well maintained hotel with a modern decor and genuinely nice young staff. The hotel is within a short driving distance from fantastic beaches and restaurants. The view was also nice. Limited parking space.

Hotel Carre Noir has a kind of chilled out grown up Ibiza vibe. The rooms are spotless, as it the rest of the hotel actually. The top part of the hotel is pretty flawless with an amazing view, beautiful round pool etc, the lower part is still good but not quite as high-spec. The nearby beaches are very walkable, the walk back burns a few calories but that's probably a good thing! We didn't have a car or bike and were here for 5 nights, which was just the right amount of time to do not much at all. You might wish to hire a car if you want to go any further than the walkable beaches (taxis are expensive). Perfect start to our honeymoon.
