Come here just for a dovedale meet and great thing a few years back and I was very amazed! Fantastic food, stunning views and lovely people. Would be perfect for an anniversary or honeymoon id say. The quality of the rooms and garden/pools is exquisite.

The Mudcastle was a suburb spot for our wedding. Our guests came from far and wide and were in awe of the location and the Mudcastle as a venue. Having everyone in one place away from civilisation for the whole day meant we could really focus on having a great time together. Glenys and Kevin were flexible and friendly hosts...

Everyone loved the beautiful venue, the garden for the ceremony and the dining room, just took our breath away when we saw the table settings. Wow. What can I say. Glenys and Kevin were the consummate hosts, and pulled out all the stops to make our little wedding party of six feel so welcomed, especially as the planning was all done by email as we were not located in e area. Their attention to detail, from the first email six months ago, to the final...

When driving through the beautiful Nelson countryside, we had often seen the Mudcastle and were very curious about the place, so we contacted Glenys to make enquiries as to what they could offer. Right from the first moment of contact, Glenys was extremely...
