High standard hotel, very well furnished - rooms decorated with taste and fantastic wellness area. Excellent food (a bit pricey though). The only deception was the wine by the glass. Very good location to hike in the Beskydy - beautiful region. Not cheap, but worth the money.

Do not recommend this hotel at all. Booked a weekend break here to stay with my partner and have a relaxing get away. We received an email stating they are not sure if my booking would be canceled and would update us with more information. We are due to check in at 14:00 and they have still not given us the information if it is cancelled or not at 10:00am. It is a 4 hour drive from where we live meaning we should have already set off but have no update. Now they are stating they will not refund our booking and are only willing to change the date. This is unacceptable, if you are not aware the EU domiciled consumer can withdraw from any distant contract in the time limit of 14 days if the service is not immediately provided which in this case it is not. They also do not state during the booking flow to gather consent of there customers to waive the legal right meaning this is applicable. We again will email you about this matter, if not again fail to provide us a full refund we will follow up with legal action due to the lack of diligence shown by your reception staff.…

It is a very nice and pleasant mountain hotel, decorated in the style of wood and stone. We had a small but cozy room with a nice view of the village and the mountains. We also enjoyed wellness, especially the outdoor yakuzi spa. But the best point (for me) was food. The food in this hotel was absolutely amazing! Excellent cuisine, the chef is a master! The hotel restaurant is pleasantly furnished, with a view of the mountains and with an interesting view through the restaurant floor to the hotel's wine shop. It's a pleasure to eat in this restaurant! The staff was very polite, nice and smiling. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome drink. This hotel is ideal for romantic stays... We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this hotel and sometimes we would like to go back there.…

Peaceful, Romantic and Great Stay at the hotel. Friendly staff special at the restaurant Mr. Matus. I would recommend this hotel to everybody is so peaceful, clean, romantic with outstanding design from the reception to the hotel rooms. Great view from the restaurant. Comfy rooms and amazing spa. Only I was disappointed of dinner buffet :( food cold and not really good variety for foreigners, but thanks god breakfast been outstanding :) I will definitely will comeback one day..

Top-class hotel in Velke Karlovice. Nice interior and décor. Sat on the outdoor balcony for dinner and the food quality and presentation were top-rate. Friendly, courteous staff and accommodating to guests of all ages.

I've stayed one night only. Room was Ok. Only aircondition works without possibility to regulate it. Nice wellnes with bar and a few sauna types. Restaurant is quite expensive, but it was worth it to eat here. Great local beer and especially food was on Michelin restaurat level.

I was really lucky to chose this hotel during my business trip to Slovakia. The ideal location between Ostrava and Zelina. The welcoming was warm and with a big smile. The accommodation with a really good designed ( wood and sheep ), with perfect panoramic view on the mountain. The spa installation was really good. Regarding the food, I took a diner and a breakfast in the hotel. It is really hard to decide which one was the best, the service was absolutely fantastic and the food was brilliant. I would for sure recommend the Grandhotel Tatra to friends and business partners. Many thanks to the hotel staff. Adrian
